Once when working the reference desk at a public library, a girl in her teens asked for information about 50 Cent, the rapper. I had never heard of him, and I thought she was talking about a gum or candy wrapper, perhaps containing a coupon for a fifty-cent discount on a video rental. The ensuing reference interview was particularly frustrating for both of us, but she finally convinced me that 50 Cent was the rapper’s name—and yes, we did have information on him.

If my posse charged me $75K to cut the grass - once a month - my posse needs to be replaced.

I HATE rap though.

I dislike most rap, but I love this one:

Wally Rap--Wally George (1985)

Wally! Wally! Wally! Wally!
Wally! Wally! Wally! Wally!

The United States is the greatest nation on this earth.
Yet there are subversive forces that are trying to undermine the principles that this land was founded upon. That's right.
And you know who you are. The feminists, the freeloaders, the bleeding-heart judges who let cold-blooded murderers go scot-free yet tie the hands of our police on the chance that they might violate someone's "civil rights."
I say it's time to stop worrying about the rights of criminals and start protecting the rights of loyal god-fearing Americans like you and me.

Wally! Wally! Wally! Wally!

Today's heavy metal groups are drug-crazed, devil-worshipping maniacs out to poison the minds and bodies of innocent teenagers who are pressured into this satanic lifestyle.
Those vermin who believe in legalizing marijuana are really saying, "let's legalize all drugs--and while we're at it, prostitution, bestiality and S & M."
Well, it's about time we got high on something else besides drugs.
Why can't we get high on patriotism, God and the Bible?

Wally! Wally! Wally! Wally!

The lunatic liberals are the sickest and most hypocritical group of mental midgets I have ever met.
They're against the death penalty, even for mass murderes, yet support the out-and-out killing of innocent unborn babies.
They call it "aborting a fetus," but these are just buzz words and they know it.
Why can't they say what it really is: murdering an unborn child?
Set me tell you something: what's worse, is that poor little baby can't even defend itself.

Wally! Wally! Wally! Wally!
Wally! Wally! Wally! Wally!

The US Senate says that there's no place for God in our classrooms, yet that same Senate opens each session with a prayer.
How hypocritical can you get?
Why should God be expelled from our public schools?
Do our politicians need to be reminded that this is one nation under God?
The feminists are fighting for the ERA. They don't really want the ERA. They want the SRA--the Superior Rights Amendment. They want to be superior to men.
We must not let them emasculate the men of America!

Wally! Wally! Wally! Wally!
Wally! Wally! Wally! Wally!

Who's got the guts to stand up for America?
Ronald Reagan is the greatest president this country has ever had.
It's about time we all started believing in America again.
Under President Reagan's leadership, we have started.
If you don't love this country, then get out of here and make your move to Moscow, pal!

Had to look up who he was. Born in 1968. Maybe I just missed him?

Funny you would mention light bulb cost. I just ran out of my stock pile of the old, cheap bulbs.

I may have to use candles and oil lamps. :) (in my tiny house)

I read a story that he has been trying to sell the house since 2007. Listed at $8.5 million. Well $72,000 a month for maintenance, times 12 months is $864,000 per year. Adding this up since 2007 yields over six million dollars to maintain since putting on the market. Did he every think of lowering the price?

Do yourself a huge favor. Watch Home Depot and Lowes for sales on LED bulbs and a couple bulbs a payday start a swap out program until all are replaced. A 60 watt equivalent put out 800 lumens of light vs 770 lumens on the incandescent. The LED uses 9 watts the other uses 60. A word of advice get Soft White LEDs and you honestly can't tell a difference unlike the CFL's.

I changed all of mine out a couple months ago and my electric bill shocked me in the money it actually saved. The best part is you can also get LED Floodlights. They're very bright and use very little power. I was using 10-100 watt flood lights outside or 1000 watts. I replaced those ten with equivalent LED's. The total power consumption for my floodlights is just a little over what one of the previous bulbs was using and I have better lighting.

Looks like it might have room enough to house all the refugees Obama has brought over in the last six months and would keep them all in one place.

Walmart sells them for $2.44. The 60w uses 8.5w. It’s not dimmable, but if you don’t need that it’s a really good bulb made by TCP, sold as a Great Value brand.

Thanks for the info. I’m a retired maintenance mechanic. I deliberately skipped buying CFL’s and waited for LED’s {which I trust safety and longevity wise} prices to drop. I only use my remaining stock of incandescent bulbs for the well house where I’m trying to heat a small space to just above freezing. The only mistake I made on my first few LEDs was not buying soft white type bulbs.

I have no idea.

I’ve thought about my area home and I’ve measured out approximately how big each room would be and it works out to be about 3,000 sqft.

I could not begin to fathom what to do with a home larger Tha that.

The way a lot of suddenly-rich black sports stars and entertainers go bankrupt, is by supporting a huge posse of “friends” (whores and parasites).

Property taxes run $98,000 a year

Also looks like he has been lowering the price....The rapper first put the property on the market in 2007 with an asking price of $18.5 million. It has since been reduced three times to $9,999,999, the price as of a month ago
