Tyranny
Did the KY legislature meet to re write their marriage laws?
The salient part of the article, “Five of the six deputy clerks told U.S. District Judge David Bunning that will hand out marriage licenses to gay couples beginning Friday. The lone holdout is Davis’ son.”
What law authorizes this?
Too bad she didn't refuse to show up in a Fed Courthouse. Once she did, she gave them jurisdiction.
Refuse to show up, let the Marshalls come to arrest her with the Sheriff by her side.
I know, times when we lived in a just Country but I can fantasize....
I have no idea!!! From what I was told some federal judge in Ashland, appointed by Obama is doing this. Is all I know.

Fed-Nazis!!
3:40 p.m.
Five of six deputy clerks in a Kentucky county say they’ll issue marriage licenses to gay couples despite their boss’s defiance, but some are reluctant and emotional about the decision.
Deputy clerk Melissa Thompson told U.S. District Judge David Bunning that she doesn’t really want to, but she will comply with the law.
She wept and said: “I’m a preacher’s daughter, and this is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my life.”
And an attorney for deputy clerk Kristie Plank says she’s reluctant but will issues the licenses. The attorney cites Plank’s 11-year-old child and financial and family obligations, saying she can’t go to jail.
Five of Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis’ deputy clerks have said they are willing to issue marriage licenses. Judge David Bunning said that would purge the contempt charge against Davis.
Nathan Davis, Kim’s son and who works in the office, was the only deputy to refuse the judge. The others still cited concerns a mix of religious objections and questions about their legal authority to sign off on forms without say so from Davis.
Attorneys also called into question whether any licenses issued in Davis’ absence would be legal.
Bunning said couples would have to judge that risk on their own. He indicated that he would lift the contempt charge against Davis if deputies began issuing forms, but he said he was reluctant to release her too quickly.
Bunning said he didn’t want her to return only to re-implement the policy and create a “ping pong” match in the courts.
Bite-Me Bunnning!! You have terrorized these people! Nazi!!
No, America had to die before that happened. It was replaced by this wretched union that makes a mockery of America.
The judge is U.S. federal judge David L. Bunning (born 1966).
Born in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky, Bunning received a B.A. from the University of Kentucky in 1988 and a J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1991. He was a law clerk in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Kentucky in 1991, and was an assistant U.S. Attorney in that office from 1991 to 2002.
On September 4, 2001, Bunning was nominated by President George W. Bush to a seat on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky vacated by William O. Bertelsman. Bunning was confirmed by the United States Senate on February 14, 2002, and received his commission on February 19, 2002.
Bunning is the son of former Senator Jim Bunning, a Hall of Fame baseball pitcher who represented Kentucky in the United States Senate from 1999 to 2011.—Wikipedia
if a couple LEAVES KY
AND MOVES TO TX
are they still brother and sister....
another career political hack put in office by a family of career political hacks
Emotional distress as the result of terrorist tactics and threats. I thought we were told to stand up to bullies.
Judge Bunning was appointed by GW Bush. Judge Bunning is the son of former Pitcher and Senator Jim Bunning. One can surmise only, but it would appear that the son was granted the judge position as quid pro quo for Senator Bunning’s support of GWB election or reelection.
“if a couple LEAVES KY

WAIT WAIT WAIT.....you have that joke wrong!!!!

Is this Bunning related to the senator that old McC hounded out of his seat, and they got Rand Paul instead?
Oh, I see this is another Bush operative, but Senator Jim Bunning was a real conservative, or was he an impostor too?
