The Bible and Immigration

People are tempted to blur moral lines when it comes to feel-good things like immigration. Last year, President Obama wanted us to support his views so desperately he pulled the Christianity card out of his back pocket, attempting to tie a moral equivalent to his immigration policies and the Mary and Joseph story. Obama's version included a made-up scripture: "The good book says don't throw stones in glass houses" and a couple other choice misquotes.

It would be swell to allow every Tom, Dick or Harry into the U.S., or any Mohamud, Osman, and Abil -- in the case of the recent brutal murder of a Portland, Maine man named Freddy Akoa, who was allegedly beaten to death by three Muslim immigrants. While the Portland police did not divulge a motive, as of this writing, the Portland Press Herald reports a bloodstained Bible was found next to the victims' head.

Meanwhile in other news, in mid-August an Uzbek refugee was convicted of three terrorism-related charges in Idaho for supporting a terrorist organization and gathering explosives to carry out an attack in the U.S. from his Boise apartment. In May, television station WUSA-9 reported a West African refugee was sentenced to ten years in prison for attempted rape of a woman -- just nine days after his feet touched American soil.

Currently, President Obama's nonsensical United Nations Refugee Resettlement Program grants permanent legal residency to almost 70,000 immigrants each year. You'd think after injecting Christianity into the immigration issue Obama's program would grant refuge to persecuted minorities running for their lives, like the 27 Chaldean Christians who've been locked up in an ICE detention center in California for six months now. But, oh no.

The administration seems a wee bit biased these days. WND.com reports at least 90 percent of immigrant refuges thus far are Muslim. Muslims from jihad nations. With no vetting. Expecting a positive outcome from dropping massive amounts of mostly Muslim, non-English speaking, non-vetted refugees into any town the administration pleases is a fool's errand at best and a national security threat of epic proportion.

President Obama's ignoring his biggest priority - protecting us. Before you go all "Jesus-y" on me to shame me for my views, I wonder how many of you lock your doors at night to protect your family from intruders and look through the peephole before you open the door. It's no different. The Bible says the "strangers and aliens" we are to care for should be legal, obeying the laws of the land. And they should graciously assimilate into the communities which welcome them.

We've had almost 50 cases where Muslim immigrants exited the U.S. to join terrorist groups like ISIS in Syria and al-Shabab in Somalia. Back in February, an FBI counter-terrorism top official, Michael Steinback, testified before a House Homeland Security committee admitting the U.S. is unable to vet Syrian refugees for terrorism connections.

The Obama administration approved 5,000 to 8,000 more Syrian refugees to immigrate here in 2016 despite the fact that back in June, Norwegian officials discovered several of the refuges seeking asylum in Norway under the same UN program were linked to terrorist groups. Fact is, ISIS promised to smuggle fighters into Europe and elsewhere disguised as refugees. During that Homeland Security hearing, Steinback said he's "concerned" that bringing Syrian refugees poses a clear and present danger to Americans admitting, "We don't have it under control."

So what might Jesus do, you ask? I don't know. I can tell you what I'd do. I'd probably kick around a few tables for twisting scriptures out of context and maybe call a few government officials "vipers" for betraying their oath to protect Americans. Or maybe I'd offer a trade like President Obama did for Bowe Bergdahl. Five anti-American progressives for one vetted immigrant.

Or, maybe I'd vote for Donald Trump... if he'd prove he's a conservative. But that might be a stretch.

When people come across your border at the rate of 2 million per year, this is not immigration. It is colonization.

The bible does not talk about immigration...

UNLESS you mean the place where GOD says he WHISTLED for the gentiles to come and INVADE Israel?..

Because they were worshiping idols anyway.. so why not..
let the gentiles show them how to do it RIGHT..

to get their noses FULL of Idols..

Not exactly immigration it is more like Punishment..
Is America being punished?.. (just a thought)..

I don't know about immigration because the concept never really existed (as we understand it today) during Biblical times

What DID exist were inheritance laws and THIS was the basis;

Numbers 36: 5-13

5And Moses commanded the children of Israel according to the word of the LORD, saying, The tribe of the sons of Joseph hath said well. 6This is the thing which the LORD doth command concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, Let them marry to whom they think best; only to the family of the tribe of their father shall they marry. 7So shall not the inheritance of the children of Israel remove from tribe to tribe: for every one of the children of Israel shall keep himself to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers. 8And every daughter, that possesseth an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Israel, shall be wife unto one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the children of Israel may enjoy every man the inheritance of his fathers. 9Neither shall the inheritance remove from one tribe to another tribe; but every one of the tribes of the children of Israel shall keep himself to his own inheritance.

10Even as the LORD commanded Moses, so did the daughters of Zelophehad: 11For Mahlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, were married unto their father's brothers' sons: 12And they were married into the families of the sons of Manasseh the son of Joseph, and their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father.

13These are the commandments and the judgments, which the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses unto the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.

Is America being punished?.. (just a thought)..

Two million immigrants and another million abortions each and every year, decade after decade...

Americans are being replaced. The wages of sin is extinction.

The bible does talk about breaking laws.
Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves.(Romans 13:1-2)

Such lawbreakers oppose the ordinances of God. They've trespassed.

The Bible teaches me that the Canaanites had an immigration problem.

Acts 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed and the bounds of their habitation.

If The Almighty didn’t intend for boundaries between cultures and nations to exist; they wouldn’t.

So then.. the Bill of Rights was NOT given by God...
God does make ordinances men do...

Men wrote the bible.. with what they thought GOD wanted..
A bible written to men that couldn’t read and so they needed a translator..
i.e. priests, pastors, “holy men”, shamans, CLERGY.

Not only were there almost no books in bible times extremely few could read if they had one..
Almost no one did have one.. for a thousand years..

Ordinances written by a GOD.. to a people that couldn’t read?..
What was this God STUPID?..

Question: What did those people do when they had no bibles.. and most of the time no pastors, priests or shamans.. What did they actually do INSTEAD..

A question many people should consider..
can you contact GOD yourself with NO BIBLE?..
Yes... you can.. but reading the bible takes little faith..

It’s easier.. you got something in your hand.. something easier to believe in.. worship the bible instead..
other than a GOD that is not stupid might ignore you if you are playing spiritual games..

(JUST A THOUGHT)... you know an opinion..

Good article. I’m tired of people trying to guilt-trip Christians into accepting tens of millions of third world immigrants to flood our country and harm our children. Nothing will ever convince me that God is happy about the crime, disease, rape, ruined schools, depressed wages, shut-down emergency rooms, etc., etc. that illegal aliens bring. By its fruits shall you know illegal immigration.

“the Mary and Joseph story. They didn`t SNEAK into Egypt- = Joseph, Mary and Jesus had to pass throught the eastern border of Egypt which was controlled by Roman-hired Jewish guards because they were the best fighters. That border was formerly a fortified ditch with a hundreds-mile long canal filled with alligators [crocodiles]. On the other side toward Damascus, the straight Syrian border road, [The King`s Way] e.g,. was manned by Roman guards in towers every 100 yards. Check your Roman Empire border histories. Nobody, I mean nobody, snuck across from one Roman territory to another coz it as all FORTIFIED against invasions. One can check the Coptic traditions of the Holy family in Egypt.

The bible does not talk about immigration...

Maybe you need to study it a little bit better:

"When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God."--Leviticus 19:33-34.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16)

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)

The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)

He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. (John 3:36)

This is the reality. Jesus is the only way to avoid God’s just penalty for sin — eternity in the lake of fire. As awful as that is, something more miraculous has happened — God incarnate, Jesus Christ, paid for my sin and your sin. He pursuades men with the good news of his atoning work. We can’t earn forgiveness, but we can receive salvation by faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

Today is the acceptable day of salvation. How will you choose?

I am suspicious of the books of Timothy..

I doubt God even has a mouth.. or a physical body like a human.. or needs a throne.. or anything..

But some peoples GOD’s are quite small..
Better than no God at all.. (probably)..
