End all skin-color-based favoritism

It is a proven fact that specialized and preferential programming based on skin color has not worked. It is has instead fomented acrimony, resentment and a divided America.

With that factoid in mind, can anything more be done to poison the minds of blacks against America and specifically whites in America? Apparently, Theodore R. Johnson, a former White House fellow and current Ph.D candidate in law and policy at Northeastern University, thinks so.

Johnson has determined: “Racial reconciliation is impossible without some kind of broad-based systematic reparations.” He argues that same can only be brought about by weighted voting where black votes count more than white votes. (“We used to count black Americans as 3/5 of a person – for reparations, give them 5/3 of a vote,” Washington Post, Aug. 21, 2015)

Johnson says “a year of protests over disparate law enforcement practices, a decade of particularly sharp income inequality and centuries of imparity in America” prove his point pursuant to the need for “systematic reparations.”

This Johnson argues is the only way to right the wrongs, i.e., there must be an “inverting” of the compromise that valued slaves at three-fifths of a person to a black person’s vote being valued at five-thirds. Of course Johnson conveniently overlooks the fact that if said compromise had not been insisted upon by Republican legislators he and his family would be slaves today.

Thank you once again Mr. Massie. As for prof dumbass johnson, despite your 'higher' edumucation, you apparently are so smart that you missed the part about you ARE slaves today. To the dems and libs and progs and govt. As to redistricting, I see that corrine brown in FL has managed to get that pushed through so "her people" will have "proper representation". Why change now? They haven't had "proper representation" for a long time. These people are to stupid (or don't want to) to understand that when you "level" the playing field by granting special treatment, you obviously have screwed somebody else. Meh. "We don't care as long as we get what we want." Level schmevel.

When are we going to get “reparations” for two generations of failed affirmative action. Damage that was wrought far more recently and with far greater detriment than slavery had been.

to amass power, it might be a wise thing for people of color to move into enclaves that in essence drive out colorless people. that would mean that if they moved into cities, the big cities for instance, in sufficient concentrations, the people of color could amass enough voters to take control not only of the city but of the congressional delegations as well

once they are in control, there can be a disposal of the voting laws that allow the fabrication of enough votes to sway the totals of their state.

why worry about reparations when you can yield mind numbing power with a club? Al Sharpton has “come to America” and established his kingship

Hasn’t that de facto takeover by concentration already occurred in many large cities? Newark, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Milwaukee? Even Ferguson.

Unconstitutional and a total affront to the purpose America was created.

Guess what?

If every black was given $100,000, forever afterwards there would be incessant complaints........that it wasn’t enough....and should have been double that amount.

And it one year 99% of the money would be gone.......and many would be begging for more........

“We used to count black Americans as 3/5 of a person – for reparations, give them 5/3 of a vote”

Many blacks vote two or three times now so maybe 5/3 would be a welcome change! /s

"We used to count black Americans as 3/5 of a person...

This is a lie. If I remember my history correctly, slaves were counted as 3/5 of a person, for purposes of deciding how much representation a state would have. Free black people were not included in this.

More importantly, the person that voted for those slaves was the slaveowner. Every person who wishes to have his vote count as 5/3 of a vote should therefore be required to identify who his/her/its slaveowner is and have them cast the vote for that person.

Correct. That’s why some assclown want to “grant” them 5/3rds votes. HUH?

How much of a vote would George Zimmerman be entitled to? He is one-eighth black (never mind that his black ancestors were Peruvians, not Americans).
