Though, I dislike a progressive income tax, this is one hell of a lot better than the current atrocity.

Remember the IRS started out as a part time 1% tax on the Rich!!!
scotus changed the rules on that. can’t really blame the IRS for that (but i can blame them for a host of other crap, Levy and distraint that aint legal, lawful or right). The only way to get rid of the IRS is a sales tax. No personal information required.

Patriots who support Trump need to get him up to speed on the Supreme Court’s clarification of Congress’s limited power to lay taxes.

More specifically, Congress can appropriate taxes only for things that it can justify under its constitutional, Article I, Section 8-limited powers.

“Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States.” —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

The original tax was graduated. In addition to the 1% tax there was an additional 1 to 6% on top of that for incomes over 20k.

I’ve read in several places where the Right were critical of Trump because Trump support progressive income tax, but “this” progressive income tax is not bad

Yep, however you can't go to a sales tax without abolishing the 16th Amendment or you will end up with Both the IRS and a Sales tax.

1% under 30,000. He should stipulate that everyone must pay a minimum of $100. Even most welfare recipients have a minimum income. Most have some sort of job throughout the year and those that do not should have their cash benefits deducted by $100 per year.

Yep, there is That. However we can see what his tax plan grew into, the mess we have now.

Only if we Abolish the 16th Amendment can we be free of this tax mess. Replace the 16th with a new Amendment that states a limit on a flat tax, that can only be increased by a notional vote, not congress.

I'd rephrase that as "some". Trust me, there are welfare parasites out here who've never done an honest day's work in their lives, and wouldn't know how to, if their lives depended on it.

But even gimmedat parasites and the criminal class spend money, so a national sales tax would bring them into the taxpaying class, whether they liked it or not.
