There life has been a soap opera from the get go...Hollywood style. So of course people are laughing....had this family not elevated themselves as they have done from the beginning this news would not have been news at all....they put themselves out there knowing fully well the “risk”.
I’m pretty sure Anna gets regular OB check ups during pregnancy, even though she opts for home birth. They routinely test for AIDS and STDs, so it should be a small comfort to her that she is probably OK.
I can’t imagine what she is feeling right now-maybe her current inaction is a result of shock. Biblically, she has grounds for divorce. It wasn’t a one time event, he is repeatedly abusing her through his perversions and adultery. I hope she snaps out of it and protects herself and her children soon so that she doesn’t have a complete breakdown later.
For what it’s worth, a little one and a newborn are never “only two”. I have six children and it seems I was most overwhelmed when I had only two. Part of that was me learning the deep self sacrifice that parenting requires-dying to myself. Part of it was that my husband needed to learn to die to himself as well. I love hearing how supportive you are of your daughter. I felt so very alone when I had a newborn and a 17 month old, support would have been lovely!

Nothing to do with jealousy. When you turn yourself and your family into casual entertainment for the masses, than that is what you are and so is your suffering. It all comes with the package.
Of course there was no moral justification for his actions.
It is not uncommon for an adulterous spouse to claim love for the spouse and a desire not to end the marriage, and yet claim feeling unfulfilled in such a way that only an affair can satisfy.
By the miraculous power of rationalization, the adulterous act is transformed into a noble, selfless journey into the depths in order to preserve the sanctity of the marriage above.

I don't know that is necessarily true. Most of the women I've known who had home-births, only saw their midwife for their pregnancy care, unless there was a problem during their pregnancies. And even some of those refused to see an OB, trusting that their midwife always knew better. But that was a few years ago. Maybe things have changed. If Anna did visit an OB during her pregnancies, there are probably tv episodes filming the appointments.

No it’s her family’s decision. She doesn’t get a vote.
It probably won't be. Just as long as Anna does her part. Which is to largely accept the blame for her husband's porn addiction and adultery, stifle her pain and heartbreak and worry about her children and her sanity, and puts one big happy smile on her face. After-all, her husband has confessed his sin (since he was caught). Everything is ok now. Right?
It’s her fault for not “keeping sweet”. She was probably buying luxury tampons without her husband’s knowledge.
I’m not convinced this isn’t a stunt for a new TV series.
I’m basing my assumption on the episodes that showed her mother in law, Michelle, at OB checks. I assumed that Anna would follow in her footsteps.
Even the most ardent home birthers I know get OB checks. But, maybe Anna was all in and saw only the midwife: no blood work or ultrasounds.
I know quite a few homebirth advocates in my homeschooling co-op and I think it’s a foolish risk. Ultrasounds and a C-Section saved the lives of my son and me. I’ve had all my children at the same hospital and with the last two, it was almost like a mini-vacation.
