Problem is, I live in Connecticut, and that damn Ben & Jerry's ice cream is EVERYWHERE here. Besides being in all of the supermarkets, it's at every sports venue in New England, including minor league ball parks. You just can't get away from it...

It might be better for smaller forums with the up or down voting. My local urban forum has it (just upvoting), and even I can get upvotes from the libs (ones who like my posts and old photos of lost architectural gems). I noticed you could downvote posts on The Superficial without having to register and was having a time doing just that with the moonbats. Imagined using FR to swarm the cretins and find them with hundreds or thousands of “-” votes.
A lot of news sites use “Disqus”, they still have thumps up but eliminated the thumbs down (still there but they don’t show the totals for it) which pissed me off. I loved seeing lib posts with hundreds of down votes.
I’m guessing the folks at Disqus discovered that many interneters don’t like leftist comments (which usually consists of trolling, falsehoods, attacks and the same hackneyed talking points: Fox News (hey idjits, you do know they’re not considered Conservative by Conservatives !), the Koch Bros, Chimpy McBushitler, et al) so they got rid of the downvotes.
I do have to say it really is utterly shocking when you almost never see rational leftist comments, they always fall into the above categories. It shows how utterly bankrupt morally, intellectually and spiritually they are. A perpetual black cloud of angry hate and denial. You’d think the sorry bastards would be hap-hap-happy with the state of affairs today (up is down, right is wrong), but they’re just as miserable as ever.
About the only time I had a rational discussion with a leftist was some old New York Socialist guy who was attempting to explain to me all the differing degrees and intricacies of Socialism/Communism (Trotskyite vs. Marxist-Leninist vs. Maoist vs. Stalinist vs...), which was mind-boggling, since in the end, it’s really all the same elitist control and totalitarianism, just in differing shades of red.
