His mother was a USA Citizen .. and when Cruz was born, Cruz was given USA Citizenship. His mother was living and working in Canada; but she did not have to give up her USA Citizenship to live and work there.

1R... I didn’t say that he wasn’t.

2R... (again, nothing to do with MY post, but that would be the same as McCain’s ‘out of country birth’, which I, for what it’s worth agree with). American parent (at least one), American born/citizen, regardless of local.
