If anyone still has doubts whether billionaire candidate Donald Trump is here to stay in the presidential arena, not many of them are Republicans.

According to the latest Rasmussen poll, 57 percent of likely Republican voters believe that Trump will not only stay in the race but will likely be the eventual Republican nominee.

Only 57%? The other candidates are pathetic. They have no chance against Trump.

Haha…the sound you just heard was the snapping shut of the wallets of the Chamber of Amnesty who bet on that boring nag, Bush. Better put a few more exclamation points behind JEB!, because so far, he’s definitely exciting no one in this race.

Heck even my 17 yr old son can’t wait to register in February so he can vote for him. Just this morning he was saying that his first chance to vote will be for Trump.

Reminded me of me when I got to cast my first vote for Reagan in 80.

I think Trump will pick Cruz as VP. He’s been saying a lot of nice things about Cruz. Doesn’t sound like they are competing against each other.

I think this is the first time I have ever seen the MSM not propping up the “leading” GOP candidate (before he gets the nomination)...odd

When Trump fades, Cruz will emerge on top.

WHY NOT?... Trump is playing Ted Cruz’s proven, tested, confirmed game... a copy-cat...

Saying all the things Cruz has saying, DOING... and harping on for YEARS..

Actually Cruz “could” pick Trump as Veep.. hope not Mike Lee or Sarah Palin is ticket..
Trump would be a good Cabinet Tsar to dismantle the federal givernment..

BUT,alas, TRUMP loves a humongous federal giverment.. being a liberal leftist as he is..
HIS plan(s) demand MORE federal givernment NOT LESS..

OR didn’t you notice THAT.. MORE not LESS..
CRUZ is for giving the federal givernment an enema.. put on a diet.. and shaving it’s HEAD..

I don’t see Trump fading, but I do think Trump and Cruz are a tag-team.

No thank you.

Trump was a registered Democrat from 2001-2008.

As a registered Democrat, Trump announced publicly he might run for president in 2004, and, in 2006, that he might run for governor of New York.

He was also a registered Independent from 1999-2001 and tried to win the Reform Party presidential nomination in 2000. The Reform Party was founded by Ross Perot.

Now, at age 69, he has decided to run for president as a Republican.

Over the last 30 years, Trump has impulsively supported both sides of almost every important political policy issue that American voters have argued about.

Sorry - I can’t take this guy seriously.

Ronald Reagan started off as a Democrat.

Did you say "no thanks" to Ronald Reagan?

...”Sorry - I can’t take this guy seriously”...

You don’t have to. Most people supporting him don’t care what he once was or even if he remains so....they support him because of what he is “saying”.....an important distinction for todays voters, on the whole, are looking for celebrity....that’s how Obama won and it will be how the next President wins. Which is why Hillary will not be the winner....she’s lost her “popularity”....regardless of what she says politically...she’s done.

You are, indeed, partly right. We are in as different a political era as Andrew Jackson was from John Quincy Adams. People complained and whined about it then---but it didn't change til a Jackson opponent, William Henry Harrison, learned how to play the game and beat AJ's hand-picked successor, Martin Van Buren---the father of the Democrat Party.

But there is much more to it as I've written here on FR extensively. There is a lack of trust in ANY traditional candidate---including Cruz---because of the elite structure of DC and the notion that no matter how ideologically pure he is, he could not effect any change. There is, on the other hand, widespread belief that Trump not only can, but will.

The monkey in the white hut is so completely destroying American towns and cities that people of both parties are applauding Trump's stand on the crimigrant invasion.

This whole thing could be historic. Then again, Trump might not do anything he says. That's pretty much the nature of politics, isn't it?
