I do not share the opinion that importing foreigners for unskilled labor is required to be competitive within the existing system. H2 visas are about maximizing profit and damn the consequences. You can buy American labor just as cheaply - even more so, when you factor in the cost of the visa process. The only reason to get these workers from abroad is to to be able to take advantage of the threat that you can kick the person out of the country if they don’t jump when you say jump.

Oh I’m planning to be a mostly regular visitor once again, FR has always been like extended family, I’ve been off the grid for about 3 years (except for an occasional birthday wish here and there) but after a while you get tired of Green Jello Thursdays and how much shuffleboard can you play, you know? ;)
