Gov. Gary Herbert has ordered all state agencies to stop funneling federal funds to the Planned Parenthood Association of Utah.
The federal government provides grants to Planned Parenthood, which are distributed through the Utah Department of Health. Utah law bars any organization from using state funds for abortions, and that prohibition extends to Planned Parenthood's federal grants, Herbert said in a statement Friday afternoon.
The move came in response to the release of secretly recorded videos by an anti-abortion group showing Planned Parenthood officials in Houston describing how they provide fetal tissue from abortions for medical research.

So why were they disbursing the funds to Planned Parenthood in the first place?

To keep liberals from screaming. Like most govt RINO/lib types, they place their comfort and continued power over babies lives.

If things go right we are in for a confrontation between the Sultanate and the States. How long will it take for the States to cave? After all the Sultan will threaten them with cutting off federal funds and/or not giving them new grants. Most State politicians fear that more than a nuclear attack.
So take a grass roots level approach. Elect and replace the liberal socialist democratic politicians with conservatives politicians while you can. Vote for the best person not the party. We need patriots and leaders that will uphold, not just swear to uphold, our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Get rid of the ones that won't.
Then plan how you will survive before the "free" money runs out or the world economy makes the dollar worthless. Have a plan for civil unrest and martial law, or even secession and civil war if things get worse. Stop and smell the roses. Don't be caught without a plan B. And depending on the federal government is not a good plan or even a good idea.
Increase your knowledge base and build self-reliance and independence. Encourage your elected representatives to keep away from the federal money plantation. Do nothing and bad things are eventually going to ruin your day when the SHTF.
Meanwhile expect the Federales will continue to "blackmail" the States to achieve their political goals, redistribute taxpayer money to special interests, and expand their democratic voter base. Eventually everyone, except the few elites, are going to lose their freedom and independence when the money runs out and anarchy takes over.
Of course if your state runs a little sort of cash they can always ask the Clinton Foundation for a hand-out. They have lots of cash sitting around and they will be glad to do you a favor if the terms are right. /s

A leader in Congress or a candidate running for POTUS should stake out the position that any cuts to funding will be restored in full at the expiration of Obama’s term.

Them murdering and trafficking human body parts aside, why would a government fund them in the first place? Why do they get taxpayer money?
GOOD for the governor, and for Utah! But, the HITLERITE Federal “Courts” will quickly order a reversal. They must be IGNORED!

Wrong answer. The entire problem centers on the fact that the States go prostituting themselves in the District of Corruption so to suck the tit of the fascist nationalist government. And yes, I do mean FASCIST, because that is exactly what the “federal” oligarchs are - and worse. They are no longer a legitimate authority.
Not only should the States not beg any money from bastardized D.C. and its fascist reprobates, the States should refuse to send any money to Washington. The States should openly ignore whatever “command” is issued by the illegitimate “national” government, on the basis that it is neither federal nor a republican form of government, as is guaranteed to the States by the Constitution.
The States created this freaking monster - so it is the duty of the States to kill it - permanently.
