I didn't listen, I read the whole thing, I read Carly's, I read Walker's, I read almost every candidate's for comparison and contrast. Carly was great, but that really seems to be her forte, these Condi Rice policy wonk questions.

Walker answered it only because Hewitt gave him all the answers in the question---it was a MUCH different question given to Trump than to Walker (but the same as Carly). NONE of the governors answered it well (surprise). The senators did. That doesn't say much about anything except they get briefings every week on this stuff and absolutely should know it.

And I think Trump did listen, and heard "Kurds." I certainly didn't know Quds or their leader. Most people (even informed ones) won't.

Point is Carly when she was confused(?) asked a question back. DT just plowed ahead, and then the next day dumps on Hugh. This is SOP for DT.

Maybe. He'll be fine. He'll start meeting with FP guys just as he met with tax guys (Laffer and Forbes) and immigration guy (Sessions). He will start getting the kinds of briefings that all the senators get every week---and still don't do anything.

I thought it was very good overall. The “gotcha” question was asked of every candidate, except HH gave Walker all the specific answers before he asked the question. Carly knocked this out of the park. But simply being smart doesn’t constitute leadership.
