I take it that you haven’t listened to that GOP hack for as many years as I have. When he first unzipped his carpet bag in Orange County, CA back in 1994 we were in the middle of the Prop 187 fight- that was our attempt to do something about illegal immigration- and poindexter Hewitt immediately came out on the side of the illegals and against grassroots California voters who were trying to save the state. He’s always been a suckup and a courtier for the GOP leadership.
No, there aren't. People are finally coming to the realization that it's full spectrum corruption. Each (faux) party has their respective roster of media, political machinery, lobbyists, corporate interests, etc neatly divided between the two.
It's a kabuki dumb show designed to deflect public attention while providing one of the best cash flow franchises known to man. Many think high profile companies like Apple, Google, etc are great business successes, but the takeover of the $multi-trillion operation in DC by an entrenched elite dwarfs them by comparison.

Everyone has a political opinion. If a moderator is able to keep theirs a “secret,” why is that better? That way they can be against you and you wouldn’t even know it.

Yep. However, one should give them credit. Like the proverbial man who broke the bank @ Monte Carlo, both parties spotted a flaw in the system and worked forthwith to fully exploit the vulnerability.
I'd like to see the original business plan. You can just picture the roll-up projections involved in dividing the media into two groups to provide a semblance of competition between the "parties".
Each group controls their respective media, politicians and voters. Patronage is returned for allegiance as one moves up in the system. That's why it really is akin to the mafia dealing with "legal" crime.
This process isn't new - every system of governance over millenia eventually falls to corruption.

He’s an annoying host who I have to listen to sometimes when driving home and baseball is on the competing talk station. But he has been very fair to Cruz and praised him often from what I picked up.
