I know that every arrow that they fire at Trump is an arrow that they would be firing at Cruz if Trump were not around.

Absolutely. Which is why I hope, dearly hope, that Trump will ask Cruz to be his running mate.
I will have died and gone to heaven if this happens.
To: Tau Food
As a follow-up, asking Cruz to be his veep will send a message to stalwart conservatives that he is one of them...and, hence, will get their votes.
To: RoosterRedux
I would compare Trump’s thin skin to Obama.

We need a real man in the Oval Office. 8 years of Trump and 8 more of Cruz.

Trump ‘un-presidential’?!?!?
Our cartoon-like figure pretending to be the POTUS as Soros manipulates him like a marionette is presidential?!?!?
YIKES!
To: RoosterRedux
Oh come on!
It begins and ends with Clinton.
It should be intuitively obvious.

It's still a free country, but just barely, so you can make that comparison.

Speaking of LBJ being crude and vulgar

It’s only a matter of time before Trump fatigue sets in. I’m hoping that he’ll do irreversible damage to the amnesty candidates (Bush, Rubio, Graham, etc.) before he leaves.

Don't bet on it. Trump is a master controller of the news cycle.
This is not happening randomly...Trump is controlling it.
He is riding the wave, as only he knows how.
It may be tacky...but it will all work for Trump in the end.
