Jeb Bush role in Michael Bloomberg charity gets attention

Jeb Bush’s involvement with a philanthropy headed by billionaire Michael Bloomberg, which partnered with Planned Parenthood on a $50 million global reproductive health initiative, is coming under scrutiny just as abortion is re-emerging as a top campaign issue.

The former Florida governor served as a Bloomberg Family Foundation director from March 2010 until he stepped down in late 2014, earning roughly $37,000. During those years, the foundation worked with Planned Parenthood to expand women’s health programs in Africa and Central America. The association with the women’s health provider is politically fraught at a time when the group has been accused of selling the tissue of aborted fetuses — a charge it denies.

Bush seemed caught off balance at the Thursday night Republican primary debate when he was asked about the Planned Parenthood connection. He said he was drawn to the Bloomberg foundation because of its role in education, and that board members didn’t see or vote on line items in the budget. The foundation has funded other issues likely to be unpopular with conservative voters, including $50 million for the Sierra Club’s Beyond Coal campaign and an obesity campaign in Mexico that led to a junk food tax.

-snip-

The Bloomberg Foundation began funding reproductive health projects before Bush became a director, but expanded those significantly during his service.

The fact that he apparently runs second to Trump, or did, still means everything to the Republican primary voters, both informed and uninformed alike.

Jeb the baby killer

Somebody suggested a few months ago Jeb should run for dog warden somewhere. My response was who would trust him with the life of their dog?

Just as with 0bama, Bush is known by the company he keeps. Bloomberg is not a positive influence.

Planned Parenthood in Africa? I don’t understand, for the past 40 years has been sending money to Africa to feed them and their 10 children per family.

The population explosion in Africa (caused by American and European aid money) is now migrating to Europe.

Now Planed Parenthood want to abort the babies that their liberal friends caused by sending food aid to Africa.

Quite a confusing circle of life.

Bloomberg is warning number one. Taking Nancy’s advice to sign it before reading what is in it is a disqualification in itself. There are all sorts of ‘smaller’ foundations and plans he could have researched to match his so called standards. See if he has given money to the Clinton foundation too. Odds are Yes that he has.

I’m actually more worried about his close connections to Michael Bloomberg and the Bush Family’s connection to the Clinton’s.
Imagine ANY Freeper with history of working in Chicago with VJ.

The fact that he apparently runs second to Trump,

Not anymore. The latest post debate poll has him down around fourth, after Trump. Cruz and Fiorina.

Didn’t Bloomberg also have a big mayors against guns tour? Was that part of this charity?

Bush is definitely the establishment candidate.

Jeb said in the debate he didn’t know how the money was spent but that is not the issue, he aligns himself with the most liberal of charity foundations, particular one that the head of it has as a number on priority the decimation of the second amendment, I’m sure Bloomberg’s charities can point to many good accomplishments just as Planned Parent does, for the most part the accomplishment are smoke and mirrors to hide their real priorities.

There a hundreds of good charities Jeb picks this one and I will bet if he sits on any other boards they are just as liberal and anti-constitutional as Bloomberg’s.
