Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush sought to separate himself from the sound and fury of Donald Trump last night, portraying himself as the level-headed man of reason in a race so far dominated by the real estate moguls insults and outrage.
If you watched the debate last night, you noticed Im not angry, Bush told a crowd of about 200 people during a town hall here last night.
-snip-
He actually did a fundraiser for me, Bush said of Trump. But just for the record, he never asked for anything because apparently youre supposed to give him your money and hes supposed to be at your beck and call. He did help raise money for me, for which I was grateful. And Im grateful he never asked for anything either.

Voters: "Well ... we are."
“Voice of Calm”
lol
delusional
Awwwwww. A media outlet is running a fawning Bush story.
I’d bet he thinks that they will totally back him if he managed to turn his nothing support into a nomination too.
Hey Jeb, if you aren’t angry about the state this country is in, you are in the wrong party!
Jeb was a disaster in that debate. If we are going to nominate a liberal governor with no charisma I’ll take Kasich.
I thought he embraced the role of Mexican wannabe.
Did he just crawl out from under a rock? What about Zero and his team saying republicans are like the Iranian hardliners? Zero is the king of cheap shots. Trump’s comment was nothing.
Remember what the left did to Linda Tripp?
Or Sarah Palin? Or any black person who dares to think like a conservative? Or any conservative Supreme Court nominee? Or any conservative of any category?
Just wait, if jeb wins the primaries the media who pimp him will give him a beatdown
There were 6 other voices of calm in that debate and seven in the earlier debate.
In the main event, Rubio, Walker, Cruz, Kasich, Carson, and Huckabee are all agreeable, relatable people. So was the entire early field. This angle of Jeb being the only adult in the room is just freaking stupid.
Jeb who? Oh, that guy at the bottom of the ratings.
To add to my list, Paul and Chrsitie can be perfectly calm, cool, and collected much of the time too. They can also get fired up when needed. In each case, probably more than needed too, but both can provide perfectly controlled and articulate messages much of the time.
He's waiting out this cycle's Ron Paul.
He wants to be this cycle's Mitt Romney apparently.
Why would anyone vote for this guy?
Voice of calm = timid! That’s what’s wrong with GOPe now. We need change. Sound like you mean something!
Too bad the portrayal doesn’t match the reality. He may be calm, but he’s not too bright. Or at least didn’t sound it. He was struggling all night to string together some cogent thoughts.
¡Yeb! wants to be the President of North Mexico.
Not with my vote.
What we will get with Jeb is precisely what got us into this mess, a big government fuzzball. We need a Trump/Cruz/ Paul to shake up and bring us back to Constitutional government.
