I’ve never seen anything like this story of the killing of “Cecil” blown so far out of proportion by the media. It went from him to his brother being poached to the cubs that will “surely” be killed because he’s not there to protect them.
Every word of it is BS, in my view.
Since the shrewd producers of Body Parts are giving us the truth in small increments, the MSM will need a few more distractions.

Seriously, it’s time for the NRA, SCI and other pro-hunting organizations to push back in a big way. Hunting is one of the top eco-preservation activities in Africa.
Shipping and mounting trophies is getting prohibitively expensive for a lot of folks (speaking mainly of Africa) but it should still be available for those who can afford it.
I’d love a trophy room with cape buffalo, kudu, eland, sable, zebra and so on arrayed on the wall. Whether or not I achieve that, I sure support others who do!

Forbid the sale of trophy animals and their parts, and extend the definition of trophy animals to include pre-born humans.
The Satinists do indeed view killing the pre-born as a ritualistic trophy kill.
Don’t need the trophy room but if you or someone else does not do it then the animals get eaten by the locals or sold to China for whatever.

BS for sure. Plus, they're saying his cubs will be killed by a new male lion - which is true because that's what the newbie lion does - but what's BS is that this old lion is their father to begin with. What is he, 12 or 13? That's OLD for a lion. He would have long ago had his ass kicked by younger lions and been sent packing. He's the father of nobody.
Maybe if we name a killed and harvested baby “Cecil”, people will freaking wake up to the evil that we are faced with.
As usual, their action will backfire, and hurt the animals and conservation efforts they claim to want to support.
Where do these asshats think the funds to support conservation efforts come from? Certainly NOT from the countries themselves! Just like how the anti-hunting fanatics here in the states don’t realize that eliminating hunting results in over-population, and that it’s the hunting licenses that fund conservation.
Farmers see many of the animals as competition for scarce resources, and need a financial reason to support “conservation,” and it needs to pay more than the damage the animals cause the farmers and villagers in Africa.

Almost all of the animals taken on safari are given to the locals for food. A few backstraps and other select cuts are prepared for meals.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with safaris, as long as you’re hunting free-range game.
