I put my kids through private school up until the 7th grade. A that point tuition doubled and we were out. I would like to think they got a better foundation.
I do know that in the local public schools around 1983, my kids were about the only non-hispanics in their class. We tried to move them there at about the third grade. We had to yank them out of the public school and put them back in the private school due to harassment by the other kids.

That’s rough; thankfully with today’s wussified kids a lot of that harassment is done with. My kids are in class with a lot of Hispanics and Asians (and a couple of Africans), but there are no race issues - the non-whites in the area are just happy to be out of the nearby cities.
