The Republican National Committee has offered to share its voter file with Donald Trumps presidential campaign and is waiting to hear back from the businessmans still assembling operation.
Trump announced his candidacy on June 16. The RNC reached out soon after to offer its voter file which has the names, voting history and consumer data on roughly 250 million Americans to the Trump campaign.
The Trump campaigns attorneys are reviewing the data-sharing agreement, which has been offered to all and signed by 11 of the 17 Republican presidential candidates, and hope to return it to the RNC this week.
Trump is an interesting test case for this proposition. Undoubtedly, many in the establishment GOP and even inside the RNC would love to deny Trump tools that would allow his campaign to succeed, since he is viewed as an embarrassment by most political professionals, as well as unlikely to win a general-election match-up against Hillary Clinton.
Every indication is that Trump will enter into the agreement, the RNC said.
The candidates who have signed the data-sharing agreement with the RNC are: former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, neurosurgeon Ben Carson, businesswoman Carly Fiorina, former Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.
Those who have declined to sign on with the RNC are: Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, former New York Gov. George Pataki, former IRS Commissioner Mark Everson, and former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore.
The RNC is still waiting to hear from Trump and from Ohio Gov. John Kasichs campaign, a source said.

Horse hockey! Hillary will not even be the Dem nominee. (See two of my earlier posts on Hillary this morning.)
Especially the informal, unwritten part.
Not to pass it on for any commercial purpose, and not to use it in future campaigns.
Yebito is NOT amused!
Who is Everson?
Could someone please help me here.
It says the Republicans has “the names, voting history and consumer data on roughly 250 million Americans”.
When I go to vote, my vote is secret. Right?
So just how can a political party get anyone’s name and how they voted?????
No clue. I was wondering the same thing.
There’s a scene in My Cousin Vinny where theyre in the car and Vinny tells his girlfriend that the prosecutor has been real decent and has offered to share info and documents about the case with him..
His girlfriend explains that the prosecutor wasn’t being friendly, that he has to do so...it’s called “discovery”
Isnt this much the same ???

Poor "President Hillary": The Russian and Iran bullies will eat her and her top adviser husband Bill alive.
Hillary vs. terror group ISIS? Please, don't make me laugh.
Could a person who can't handle her own server controversy have the skills to handle terror group ISIS? I don't think so. Sorry Hillary.

Well, like here in Texas: In every Primary Election, you can only vote in the GOP or Dem Primary; not both. The voting records indicate which Primary you voted in; just in case there has to be a run-off election. You cannot vote in a GOP run-off election if you voted in the Dem Primary e.g. Now, those data lists are public record. You can “buy” them from the County Clerk’s Office at the Court House. So, both parties buy them to see the names and addresses of the folks who voted in their Primary. They then target them for Campaign Contributions, etc.
Hope I answered your question to your satisfaction.
No your vote is not that secret..
In TN I can go into my election office and ask for anyone’s voting record and get a printout of which party they voted for in any primary..
It wont show me the name of the actual candidate but it will show me every time the person voted for the last specific period..
It wont show if the person voted for Obama in Nov 2008,2012 but it will show if the person participated in the Democrat primary ..
In TN we don’t register for a particular party..we just go to the polls and we’re asked if we want the Democrat primary or the Republican primary and are given the ballot of our choice..all Democrat candidates for the different offices or the Republican one..
and so the election commission has a list of “Republican voters”
Why would Graham not sign the agreement.
I would love to know the details.
They probably track voter registration, voter history, and donations. So if you register as Rep, vote regularly, and donate to Rep candidates they would consider you a reliable GOP voter.
But not your registration. This is how we knew who to target in 2004 with the Rove campaign handouts when I walked neighborhoods. We knew who the registered Rs were and we knew who voted in the last election-—didn’t know HOW they voted, but we had a good idea.
Not necessary, as his *campaign* was set up for one reason...to be the GOPe stalking horse, in SC.
We’ve seen Trump’s poll numbers in SC (and NH, IA and AZ) and see that this plan has failed.
I’m curious if it includes language that the RNC will then have access to all of the candidates database, as well. Like some sort of two way street program. Wouldn’t surprise me one bit.
It would identify party registration in States that have closed primaries and those who voted in republican primaries in open primary states and it would identify those who belong to and contribute to republican organizations. I believe the agreement would be to add the names of a candidates donors to the list. It would not and could not show who you actually voted for.
Interesting perspective. It could be fun.
