MSNBC is canceling three more hours of daytime programming as it works to rechristen itself as a place for hard news, not progressive views, in the hours leading up to the early evening.
Gone are “The Cycle,” “Now With Alex Wagner” and “The Ed Show” as of Friday, MSNBC president Phil Griffin told network staffers in a memo Thursday. Wagner is expected to stay with MSNBC and cover the politics beat as coverage of the 2016 election increases. Ari Melber of “The Cycle” will continue as the network’s chief legal correspondent. Other hosts — Ed Schultz, Krystal Ball, Abby Huntsman and Toure — will leave the network, Griffin said.

Perhaps they’re finally coming around to the same conclusion that we’ve known for years - three hours of a test pattern is a distinct improvement over the drivel they were emitting.
They’d make more money running re-runs of classic television.
They’d even make money lampooning themselves and re-running shows where time proved them to be hilariously wrong.
Fat Ed can always flip burgers.

Maybe the boobs at Comcast have figured out the only thing supporting the whole nasty wagon full is Morning Joe, which isn’t bad. Mika in clinical depression is great fun and Joe is typically disgusting but defends a thing or two, against much worse. At least they are political animals over there.
I don’t like perky FOX at 5 in the morning, nor the 2nd grade level political discussions and those never ending commercials. I like full quarter hour sessions of political back and forth, commercial free. In fact, I don’t like FOX at all, until evening starting with Brett Baier at 5:00 PM.

I have to say I’m going to miss Ed Schultz. He provided many hours of unintentional amusement with his buffoonery and bombast. Hope you land on your feet, Ed!
