TRUMP NO LONGER EVEN PRETENDS TO BE A REPUBLICAN
Powerline ^ | July 26, 2015 | John Hinderker

Scott Walker’s budget reforms in Wisconsin are one of modern conservatism’s greatest success stories. So why would Donald Trump attack them? Because 1) he is not a Republican, and 2) he is not a conservative. Trump went after Walker yesterday:

A word of serious caution for those of us thinking about going all in for Trump. He's definitely said a lot of good things about serious matters that need discussion, but his bona fides as one of us definitely need to be looked at. Those are points the pubbie candidates need to aim their fire at. Walker's Wisconsin reforms and great successful struggle against he left are something Trump should praise, not attack.

I’d have to see what was actually said and in what context before rendering an opinion.

Scott Walker has a GREAT opportunity to defend his record ...

and Trump was going EASY on Walker, compared to what Joe Biden will allege (and the MSM report as "truth") ...

Gone are the days when Scott Walker could coast easily on Rush Limbaugh's weekly compliments ...

It's "mano-a-mano" time ...

BTW ... has Scott Walker weighed-in on Ted Cruz's senate remarks yet ?

That is will speerate the "men from the boyz" in this battle ...

"Strength and Honor" to Ted Cruz ...

I don’t know the facts on Trump contributing to Hillary but if this is so, she stands, obviously, for very liberal causes.

Trump skates on some issues that he changed his mind on; I mean no one was here 4 months ago talking about how great Trump was on immigration. Yet, we are told Trump is the only choice as if he is holding the party hostage.

Walker has real accomplishments compared to some Senators who basically are parroting the Rush Limbaugh show.

Let’s see who do you trust more with your finances?

Trump a Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania grad that made 10 Billion dollars vs.

Scott Walker a college dropout only experience in the private sector was part time salesman for IBM in college and lifetime Establishment politician to take your finances to the promise land?

Hmmmmmm who would I trust more with my finances?

That’s a TOUGH one....(sarcam off) LOL!

I happen to like and respect Senators "parrotting" the Rush Limbaugh show ...

What specific Rush Limbaugh remarks do you find offensive ?

How about your top three "worst" ?

Give my best regards to Karl "Tokyo" Rove ...

You can give my best to Karl Rove.

If someone thinks there is one ex-governor running, then they don’t know much.

Yes, I will go with Rush’s judgement alright and whom he has spoken well of, oh, and that person just happens to be a Governor.

Scott Walker, hands down, who has already proven he can take down the likes of Trumpka and the left’s most favorite Climate Change cult leader. Trump is the kind of man who uses eminent domain to steal people’s sproperty and one who helped bring about Obamacare. No thanks, he is just another fake like Ross Perot, a populist saying what he knows you want to hear [but not what he believes] and expecting you to react just as emotionally as blacks did when given a chance to vote for a black presidential candidate.

Walker needs to man up and get his own message out and stop allowing his rich idiot staffer to fundraise by personal attacks on Trump’s intelligence

Rush certainly talks up Walker, I think the Trump phenomenon and Trump’s liberal statements will all come out in the long run. I certainly like what Trump says though it does need to be scrutinized closely. Trump and Cruz get Cs from NumbersUSA, I see Walker is at B.

Scott Walker’s budget reforms in Wisconsin are one of modern conservatism’s greatest success stories.

Based on the comments I saw then the only possible conclusion one can come to is that if Trump were governor of Wisconsin then he'd have raised taxes. to cover the roadwork and the deficits and what have you. That's not conservative.

Walker’s team attacked Trump first and made it personal. Trump rose above that and stayed on the issues. If Donald is wrong, Walker should have no problem defending himself. I guarantee he will have to defend himself and his performance if he’s in a debate with Hillary. So it’s all good AFAIC.

At least Mr. Trump is getting the ball rolling in regards to the issues.
