Ted Cruz has a titanium backbone. Today, the elite's mouthpiece McConnell gave conservatives and regular folks a backhand-- but, this time, Ted Cruz smacked him silly.

Wonderful man. Give me a Cruz/Walker or Walker/Cruz ticket and I will be a happy man.

One doesn’t strike the king to wound. Cruz is going for the jugular here.

If he is going for the king, he must have a plan B if he fails. Perhaps Cruz and some others have realized the GOP will not be reformed from within. I wonder if he, Trump and others are considering breaking from the party and starting a new one.

This is why you close your primaries...so Democrats can’t keep voting for scoundrels like McConnell and Boehner in GOP primaries.

I doubt Walker would have done this. Let’s see what he says if asked about it.

Justin Amash is more of a libertarian but he’s been hammering away at the party leadership as well.

I thought the same thing. They must have a fall back.

Any response from turkey neck?

My wife says they will do nothing because it has gone so far they think they are immune from all fault or criticism.

BTW... I heard Rand Paul on Hannity this afternoon... spineless. Just another one of the insiders in my book.

Don’t need Rand or his old man.

Methinks Mr. Cruz is getting in his last shots before getting scrood by the party.

He must know it’s coming. The press, including the WSJ, either refer to Cruz as and odd ball or describing him in other unflattering ways.

All of it unjustified and unwarranted.

Jeb is the one. Rove and the girls will accept no other.

Cruz and/or Trump and/or Walker should join forces, go Independent soon and run away with the whole thing. None of those guys will get the nomination.

For a Senator who is a faction leader and a Presidential candidate to take to the floor of the Senate and call his Majority leader a lying untrustworthy enemy of his colleagues and the people is almost without precedent.

This is bigger than the “you lie” during the State of the Union, IMHO.

McConnell will be stroking out after this. Tomorrow will be interesting.

The CSpan link freezes up for me shortly after it starts.

Here’s an alternative link to the 24 minute speech by Cruz:

This was a direct sniper shot but its far from the first time Ted Cruz has been openly opposing the GOP.

He fought against the Bush administration in the Supreme Court as Texas Solicitor general.
