A leader of the House Pro-Life Caucus is reintroducing legislation to defund Planned Parenthood, which she said has received a favorable response from GOP leaders.
Rep. Diane Black (R-Tenn.) is calling for a vote as soon as possible on her bill to eliminate all federal funding for Planned Parenthood in the wake of two undercover videos targeting the organization. The bill would block all federal dollars for one year while Congress leads a full investigation into the organization's activities, she said.
Planned Parenthood's web of deceit is quickly unraveling and the case for defunding this heartless organization has never been stronger, she wrote in a statement.
The footage was recorded by an anti-abortion-rights group posing as medical research buyers, who claim that Planned Parenthood is profiting from fetal tissue donations.
Planned Parenthood has acknowledged that the videos show two of its high-level executives discussing the use and cost of preserving fetal organs for research, but has argued that the videos were selectively edited and that, even then, the footage shows no wrong-doing.
The videos have fueled attacks from Republicans who have long targeted Planned Parenthood because of its role in abortions. The group receives several hundred million dollars from the federal government, though none can be used for abortions.

Money is fungible. Even if they keep separate books and use the "government" money to pay administrative charges (rent, electricity, paper, computers, etc), that just means that an equal amount of money from the unmanaged accounts can now be used to fund abortions. What a racket!
Boehner will make sure it fails.
Really?
If so, make your case.
We will be watching to see what happens.
Because they don't really want it to.
