“...with 3 in 10 Republicans saying they would not vote for him is quite telling.”
That is amazing if you listen to Karl Rove. He would insist it is 7 our to 10. A 70% affirmation from Republicans this early is quite good.
Wishful thinking.
This ABC/WaPo poll only included I think one day after that Iowa meeting. So, this poll does not reflect much reaction to Trump's comments in Iowa on Saturday, either the upticks or the negatives.
But there was definitely a poll within the past week that showed substantial improvement in the % that would vote for him. Couldn't locate it right off, but it was posted and discussed here.
Plenty of time left for many ups and downs for most candidates.
Didn’t see your Post before I posted the same down thread.
Republican Party Core Values? ROTFLOL
Conservatives want to empower individuals to help themselves.
Nah, it is you that would find more traction in the Ad Hominem industry.
I asked a question here on this thread (post #32) and elsewhere and people here are running away from Trump’s comments on communion.
I seriously doubt that Jesus said “Here is my body and blood - a little cracker and a little wine - do this in rememberance of me” on his last Passover feast with His disciples.
“I assume he knew how damaging the Corker bill is to America.”
Mark Levin gave a very early warning of the meaning of the Corker bill.
“....does not represent the Republican Party’s core values,...”
Because CLEARLY, John Boehner and Mitch McConnel represent those “core values” SO well...
Not sure the GOP HAS any “core values” anymore... unless caving in to democrats is one....
So were the last five Republican nominees.

McCain got just three in 10 voters and won the nomination. It depends on the primary states, winner take all versus proportional, and the number of candidates on the ballot. With so many Reps in the race, wining four out of ten voters would be a landslide in the primaries.
Maybe, maybe not. It’s not with the holier-than-thou crowd, but I (and many I know) know exactly what he meant. There is a stick-up-your-butt group that will be offended by anything. Not me.
The comment about communion (as Red State pointed out) is the thing that may well end up doing long term damage to Trump if anything does.
Evangelicals talk religion, and I know they can gossip as well like no one else can, and the part about little cracker and little wine seems to have upset them (as reports have said).
Jesus did not say “Here is my body - a little cracker and a little wine - do this in remembrance of me” in His last Passover feast with His disciples.
If Trump would stay away from the media...I was wondering why we don't hear much about Cruz, Walker etc. Now I know, it's because they stay away from the media.
As people begin to validate one another...seeing they are not the only one...his numbers will continue to increase.
Anyone who thinks Trump is finished is whistling past the graveyard.
For better or worse...
Still can’t find it. Will bing
WHY WOULD WE ELECT PRESIDENT A GUY WHO...?

You seem to lay all of the blame on them, as if they should not be offended by the little cracker, little wine comment about communion.
IOW, you seem to be saying that Trump can say what he will, and if it offends Christians then they just need to get over it and if they don’t then they are stick-up-their-butts who are offended by anything?
In a sample that small, probably +/- 50%.
Don't read too much into that reported number (first, we don't even know if they are telling the truth).
We'll have a decently accurate picture with the next nationwide poll.
