GOP sees Iran nuke deal as chance to cultivate Jewish voters

Seizing on Israeli opposition to President Barack Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran, Republicans are working to cultivate Jewish voters, reasoning that a small shift in the margins could help them in battleground states like Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Democrats dismiss the effort as demagoguery from the right, saying that most Jewish voters will remain loyal to the left. The front-runner for their party’s presidential nomination, former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, is among those supporting the agreement. […]

The Republican Jewish Coalition’s Mark McNulty said the agreement to restrict Iranian nuclear development in exchange for sanctions relief is “the brainchild of Obama and Clinton, so it could be very appealing for a Jewish voter to consider a Republican in the White House.”

Successful candidates, he said, will be able to tie Clinton to the deal, which she helped to initiate as secretary of state by starting secret talks with Iran. …

Yes, AP went there. At least they didn’t try to hide the Democrats’ antisemitism.

They can't help themselves, can they? Nothing's about what's Constitutional or what's best for the US. It always comes down to getting votes ie: big donor contributions.

Can't they just forget about votes and elections and concentrate on articulating what they don't like about the issue?

Because you know what I think about the establishment 'pubs? They'll drop their current fave and *hore themselves out to anyone who will give them more cash.

I worked for the American division of an Israeli company. I knew a great many American Jews. All of them had some depth in academia. Either they were engineers married to college professors or they also taught at colleges. After years of association I concluded that none of them could possibly vote for a Republican. Such a thing would be anathema to them. They hated conservatives. Worse, they all made fun of them. To reverse themselves would be to step outside the group think they were all steeped in.

They don’t just act like liberals. They SEE an entirely different world than conservatives see.

I was always the only conservative attending parties. I generally left when they got drunk enough to randomly shout Democratic talking points across the room.

That’s sad that they’re so far away from not only their religion but their national heritage. The Dems use them to attain more power just like they use all the rest of their electorate.

Somehow, their anti-Semitism only seems to get them MORE Jewish support.

But not on behalf of Jewishness. Or Israel.

How much support do the Dems get from liberal nominal Christians too? Incredible amounts.

America’s Jews will continue to vote Leftist long after the Left has accomplished the utter annihilation of Israel.

It’s not in the name of their being Jewish, however. Any more than the “Christians” that support the Dems vote for them on behalf of Christianity.

the Jews who don’t hate themselves and want to commit suicide

that the D party’s been taken over by
international IslamoNazis

the rest of the Jews still voting D
are HAPPY to see America and Israel threatened by Obama’s
iternational IslamoNazi nuclear ICSM’s

they will not switch to R, they will only increase their voting for D-enemy agents like O and Kerry and Hillary

Liberal jews may not be dumb but they are most certainly blind. Maybe a few will see the light but not scores of them. Hope I’m wrong...

Probably pick up some support, and gradual gains are fine, but Israel is only one of many issues. And given the anti war mindset of many American Jews (the largest demographic group opposing the Iraq war, despite the many bigots who say they caused it), there will be support for a diplomatic "solution"
