Defense: Even as the U.S. faces unprecedented security challenges, the Obama administration continues to slash the military. Cuts in funding and troop levels are leading to a dangerous lack of readiness.

President Obama's most recent reduction in forces is a big one: The Army last week announced it would drop 40,000 soldiers from its ranks, a reaction to ongoing deep budget cuts.

These cuts are real, deep and damaging — unlike spending in the rest of the federal government, where spending continues to rise. Since 2011, the Army's "base budget" has plummeted by nearly 18% in real terms.

From Heritage Foundation's assessment in their First Annual Index of U.S. Military Strength : Washington, DC, Feb. 24, 2015 – "The U.S. military may be weaker than you think. All but one branch of America's military and nuclear forces are currently operating at 'marginal' strength levels."

Considering the after effects left in the wake of the administrations of LBJ, Carter and Clinton, the long term impact from military budget slashings by Obama arrives at great cost to our Nation's security, which cost will be paid long into the future.

In short, this does not bode well for our Nation.

The idiot Senator Corker along with the GOP and Democrat Senators that voted away their Constitutional power regarding treaties have given Obama the power of a tyrant in regard to treaties and will be as guilty as Obama and John F’n Kerry for this nuclear agreement with the terrorist state of Iran.

Obama already stated that he will veto if the Senate disagrees with him on the ‘agreement’.

That means that instead of Obama needing 2/3s of the Senate to agree with him, he only needs 1/3.

The Tyrant now can treat the US Congress as a mere advisory council and not coequal branch of government.
