Having lived in SF for 8 years I can assure you that nothing will change as a result of this incident. Nothing short of a tourist boycott would have an effect, and then only because the business owners would demand it. This city is a place where people defecate daily on Market street in broad daylight, the scent of pot is wafting everywhere, and homeless people sleep in doorways throughout the tourist areas and then piss all over themselves after drinking into a stupor. This is reality, my friends, and it has not changed in many years. I was fortunate to abandon the city 7 years ago and am overjoyed to be off the property tax rolls. I spend as little as possible here as I don’t want to feed to communists who run the city, but note that they have full support of a majority coalition of looters and limosine libs like Pelosi and Feinstein. Unfortunately there is too much money flowing into the city from the tech industry, so implosion a la Detroit is not even remotely possible.
