Law Prof.: Obama’s Climate Agenda Is About Changing The Constitution

President Barack Obama’s push to unilaterally commit the United States to reduce its carbon dioxide emissions in the coming years is about changing the constitutional system that similarly hampered former President Bill Clinton’s global warming goals, according to a law professor.

In a congressional hearing Thursday, George Mason University law professor Jeremy Rabkin told lawmakers that Obama’s argument that he unilaterally commit the U.S. to a United Nations agreement without Senate ratification was “a real change in our Constitution.”

“So, now we’re going to have some body, in some entity, in some foreign country that’s going to be directing us?” Alabama Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions asked Rabkin during Thursday’s hearing on Obama’s emissions-reduction promise to the United Nations.

WHAT! The (p)resident would do something harmful to the U.S.? I, I, I can't believe such a thing. Just call me a 'denier'.

That seems to be simple, just appoint czars and other SS types to operate in the background making it impossible to burn coal for electricity or grill hamburgers on your deck. Constitution skirted.

BOHICA.

The comatose American public is accepting the premise that the Constitution was written by a bunch of rich, old, racist white MEN, and therefore is outdated and useless.

Obama couldn’t be in a better position to screw up America.

That SS is already functioning. It's called the EPA and the rest of the unconstitutional fourth branch—the Regulatory Branch (an extension of the Executive Branch)—of the U.S. government.

But "changing the Constitution"? Ridiculous! That old rag went on the trash heap decades ago. U.S. law says whatever Anthony Kennedy (thank you, Ronaldus Magnus) or John Roberts (thank you, Dubya) says it says at any given moment.

Imagine what it's like to be them. Must be an awesome power trip, like Pharaoh, Caesar or, King George ... only more so.

Seems like ignoring any subpoena or court order is the plan of the day now. No warrants issued, no marshals dispatched to take these miscreants in to custody. Let’s see one of us try that tactic. Welcome to the new elastic constitution. The one where words have no meaning.
