Whoopi Goldberg went off on "The View" Wednesday over backlash she has received for her comments on the rape scandal surrounding Bill Cosby.
"Here's the deal: This is 'The View' and that was my opinion," Goldberg said. "Not any of you threatening me or telling me you're coming after me because you don't like what I said is going to change the fact that no one has convicted him, he has not been arrested, and the bottomline is that's the law-innocent, until proven guilty."
Goldberg compared Cosby's case to the boys of the Duke lacrosse team, who were falsely accused of rape. Her voice gradually grew louder as she continued to respond to people attacking her for defending the comedian.

Actually I suspect that Whoopi knows that in her industry Bill Cosby’s behavior would be characterized as NORMAL, NO BIG DEAL.
Reported yesterday that the statute of limitations has run out on criminal charges. These women will have to sue him in civil actions for any sort of justice.

That is what I’m thinking. We, the public are still somewhat sheltered from the real nuts and bolts of show business. We are still encouraged to hold our fantasy view of celebrities. I do believe Bill used Qualuudes, as he admitted, but I’m betting that many of these times, the drug use was consensual.
