Don't rely on the MSM to ask. The Republican candidates, as well as Congressional leaders, should be calling out silent Democrats for public statements.
Sadly, Republican leaders are afraid to make their Democrat colleagues look bad, for the good of the institution, you know.

Would the MSM refuse to cover the statements by the Speaker of the House or the Senate Majority Leader? I doubt it. It's true that they run first to Pelosi or Reid for quotes, but if Boehner or McConnell spoke they would cover it.

I saw it happen when Clinton was President and Newt was speaker of the house. I saw a great speech on C-Span by Newt explaining the government shut down.
The old media completely ignored it. They basically let only one side out - the Clinton’s and Democrat’s side.
