Those are annoying but relatively minor side effects, the serious effects are things such as drug dealing, gang fights, knife fights, shootings, etc, in and around those dismal run-down shopping-center type areas.
I'm not saying that those undeniable facts are the result of inborn racial factors, but it's undeniably true that whites in America are less likely to participate in those illegal activities, even in areas where they're in that same economically depressed situation. If saying all that makes me a racist pig so be it, truth is true whether or not we want to acknowledge it as such.

The opposite of what you told me. Look at the ranking of VT at the bottom of the link I posted. Vermont has one the lowest crime rates across all categories of violent crime.
By contrast, New York increasingly flirted with Leftist values during the same period, and the Black to White felony crime ratio had spiked to 12 times by 1960! (Interestingly, similar phenomena could be seen in South Africa, in contrasting the Bantu townships outside "Liberal" Johannesburg as contrasted with those outside Conservative Pretoria. (And in the Bantu homelands, where their traditional culture was not corrupted by Leftist social engineers, there was no parallel to the corruption in detribalized Soweto, outside Johannesburg.
Yes Mam, it really does matter whether the traditional restraints on bad behavior remain in force, as contrasted with where faux "Liberal" theorists, have experimented on those societies & communities.
The very worst thing for any community, Black or White, is in breaking down pride in identity; on the one hand making it a grievance, on the other a cause for guilt feelings. Just chart the explosion in both White & Black illegitimate births, after the initial successes of the "Civil Rights" Movement in the late 1950s & 1960s. The correlation will telegraph loud and clear just how non altruistic is this latest foray of Obama. As I said, I used to live there. At one point an acquaintance tried recruiting me to RUN that Heroin and Coke across the border. I prefered life out of prison and he didn’t. We both got our wish. Contrast what happened in Charleston, with what happened in Baltimore, where a Left leaning Mayor ordered the Police to actually stand-down, where a mob with an imaginary grievance staged a Baltimore version of Crystal Night in their own neighborhood.

Vermont ranked at 44th in the rate of rape in 2012, 48th in 2013. Overall, it ranked 49th in violent crime in 2012 and 50th in 2013. It is one of the safest states in the Union.
20 years ago I would have laughed at that.
