The US citizen's need to do something since our leader's aren't going to protect us. Dalton GA which is south of Chattanooga is the carpet capital of the world. Wouldn't go near that town with the downturn in building, there has to be a huge amount of unemployed.

Anchorage being on the list is not an issue. In Alaska, all correctional facilities are state operated. I used to send federal prisoners to Anchorage Jail all the time based on ICE detainers. The Municipality of Anchorage had no say in the matter. What happened in San Francisco isn't about to happen in Alaska.

This crap has to stop! If I was a policeman and if my chief or elected officials told me not to cooperate with ICE (I wonder about those guys too, but for sake of argument, let's say they are doing their job), I would ignore the order and do the right thing and let it go from there. If this crap goes on, we will be living in a world of Judge Dredd mixed with Mad Max. Somewhere, somehow, someone will say this has to stop and will take things in their own hands, be it a State governor, a military commander in the National Guard or just a groups of guys forming their own militia rounding up illegals, tossing them in the back of trucks and dumping them back over the border.

It hurts me to think this way, this goes against my generally libertarian leanings (I know on the immigration issue, the Libertarian Party is out to lunch here) it will take somebody or a small group to basically take the country over, almost like a strongman (Think General Ben Raines from William Johnstone's "Out of Ashes" Series) for a period of time comparable to Reconstruction after the Civil War until such a time when things are righted and the American people can govern in a more rational manner. We'd still have almost all our freedoms but when some jagoff tries ideas like these, the foot must be put down on that. I guess to help prevent the leader from getting drunk with power, there will be a committee of conscience if you will that will have the power to warn when lines are crossed and remove if necessary in put in a replacement, we might be creeping close to a soft fascism here but the path we are on is much worse. Still we need some sort of safeguards.
