Google apologizes for misidentifying a black couple as gorillas in Photos app
Digital Trends via Fox News ^ | 07.02.2015 | Enid Burns

As impressive as facial recognition software is, it isn't perfect, and sometimes algorithm errors can lead to unintended consequences. Google discovered this in what's possibly one of the worst scenarios a company could face: Its new Photos app incorrectly labeled a black couple as "gorillas."

Google Photos has the ability to automatically tag images, using photo comparisons, big data, and other methods the intelligence software learns over time. But its accuracy is not always successful. While mistakes are unintentional, Google is facing backlash for this particular error's racist connotations, the BBC reports.

So now the PC Libs who run Google will get protests and shakedowns. Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of progressive A-holes.

Now we all know it was them Duke Boys that done it to make ‘goggle’ look bad. I think they have some video of the Gen. Lee hightailin’ it out of there. I got an idea that might make somebody some money though. Go back and mask that hateful Johnny Reb flag in all the movies and TV shows and then they can go back on the air. You know how the mask faces in some shots with that blurry thing. May take some time. Oh, never mind. We’ll just erase the parts of history that we don’t like. Wait a minute. I don’t like slavery so I think any and all reference to it must be removed from all books and movies etc.

< fanatical irrational leftist sensitivity = on>

Google is the confederate flag of search engines. They must be removed from all computers everywhere!!!

< FILS = off>

I prefer Bing anyway. Really nice pictures and is generally apolitical.

It’s not an algorithm. It’s a program. An algorithm is the procedure, or method of solving a problem. Repeat after me: algorithm is not a program. Good.

I’m a flea bit peanut monkey
All my friends are junkies
That’s not really true

I’m a cold Italian pizza
I could use a lemon squeezer
What you do?

But I’ve been bit and I’ve been tossed around
By every she-rat in this town
Have you, babe?

Well, I am just a monkey man
I’m glad you are a monkey woman too

I was bitten by a boar
I was gouged and I was gored
But I pulled on through

Yes, I’m a sack of broken eggs
I always have an unmade bed
Don’t you?

Well, I hope we’re not too messianic
Or a trifle too satanic
We love to play the blues

Well I am just a monkey man
I’m glad you are a monkey, monkey woman too, babe

I’m a monkey
I’m a monkey
I’m a monkey man
I’m a monkey man
I’m a monkey...

The left shows its true colors when attacking Palin or Clarence Thomas-using gender or race to smear people is comes as easy to them as it does to the KKK.

"There is still clearly a lot of work to do with automatic image labelling, and we're looking at how we can prevent these types of mistakes from happening in the future," Google tells the BBC.

How about: Don't do it at all? Just send all of Jacky Alcine's photos in a folder called "Jacky Alcine's Photos" [MAYBE adding the submission date to the name of the folder] and then let HIM decide how to organize them them. You can't mistakenly [or offensively] classify someone else's photos if you're not attempting to classify someone else's photos.

Honestly, Have we REALLY become too stupid and lazy to decide on our own how categorize our own possessions?

I’m an apeman, I’m an ape, apeman, oh I’m an apeman
I’m a King Kong man, I’m a voodoo man, oh I’m an apeman
I’ll be your Tarzan, you’ll be my Jane,
I’ll keep you warm and you’ll keep me sane,
We’ll sit in the trees and eat bananas all day, just like an apeman.

I’m an apeman, I’m an ape, apeman, oh I’m an apeman
I’m a King Kong man, I’m a voodoo man, oh I’m an apeman
I don’t feel safe in this world no more,
I don’t want to die in a nuclear war.
I want to sail away to a distant shore and make like an apeman

How would the software label a picture of two gorillas? African Americans?

Hey, if there’s a bunch of assclowns out there that claim the holocaust never happened........... Even if we have pictures and a few living WWII liberators that were eye witnesses, why not? Kinda like the hildabeast emails, just redact anything offensive or damning.

He’s got arms like legs
He’s got hands on his feet
He’s got a nose like a doughnut
He’s got a tendency to over eat
He don’t use tools or weapons
He don’t eat meat
He likes to stick to the bushes
Tends to avoid the street

But he rides my El Dorado
When he comes to town
You know he’s out there somewhere
Tryin’ to track you down
Look up in the sky
Mama that’s the one
See the mighty profile
Block the noonday sun

He comes from the heart of darkness
A thousand miles from here
That’s the land where they understand
What a woman might like to hear
You know that he loves you baby
For what you really are
His love is a burning hot
As a big old ten cent cigar

Now most of y’all
Have seen a gorilla
In a cage at the local zoo
He mostly sits around contemplating
All the things that he’d prefer to do
He dreams about the world outside
From behind those bars of steel
And no one seems to understand
About the heartache the man can feel

The people stop and stare
But nobody seems to care
It don’t seem right somehow
It just don’t seem fair
He’s still a gorilla
