Mathematics? That's not the only thing they "invented".

If the German helots would just work harder for their Greek masters we could ignore this whole problem for another few years.

F’n time machines. That’s BS. I say play by the rules of time or don’t play at all.

You (they) don't say? Social Security took care of this lad. It's like, all moving towards that yet further off day (for all the rest of us) that's long been expected?

Pythagoras

* Genesis , from the album Foxtrot (1972), Supper's Ready, part VI: "Apocalypse in 9/8 (Co-Starring the Delicious Talents of Gabble Ratchet)"

Pythagoras is @ 19m17sec mark, mellotron following...

Gabble Ratchets (Gabriel Hounds) can be heard briefly @ 18:49 to 18:53 marks, in a sense there, introducing 666 (who is no longer alone...) It's all disturbing at that point, and difficult to follow musically if not having begun the tour from the beginning, but the final ending [part VII: "As Sure As Eggs Is Eggs (Aching Men's Feet)"] is tremendous (most particularly to me, from 20:46 on) in it's reprise and Apotheosis of the preceding complex musical score & lyrical imagery. Lyrics for this one purely from Peter Gabriel. In one interview he put it that he felt as if he was singing for his life. I think I understand...

Any who may be more interested, and possibly not already familiar with this early 70's "prog" rock piece, to hear it from the beginning, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anP9lnhiR2o&feature=youtu.be

Understand this one, and The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway can make more sense, strange as that all is.

Those rowboats not requiring math are so much safer!
