All churches need to give up the tax exempt status. Very few make a profit anyway.

Not if they’re smart. They can easily create charitable organizations that are related to them that will keep tax exempt status. Which then gives donors the option of giving money to the church or to the church’s charity.

President Johnson started the exemptions to shur them up. From what I can remember he thought churches had too much influence on policy making. I coud be wrong. That was a long time ago.

In spite of so much being done by volunteers, it still costs money to operate homeless accommodations, feeding programs, counseling service of various types. This can't be true. Obama solved homelessness and hunger already and slowed the rising of the oceans and ...

The communists push for the rest of King Obama’s term will completely destroy America. And with the help of the communist left of the Supreme Court, we will not be able to stop them. America is finished and no way to recover even if we get the Presidency. We have too many communists Republicans in the Senate and House.
To: DeweyCA
The churches offer no physical strength to oppose the communist push. Leaving it up to prayer will not do it. Faith without works is dead. Sometimes works means AK47 power.

That’s why a church with no employees will have more protection than a typical church today. If there’s no “business” for the organization to conduct, then there are no customers, either ... and therefore employment discrimination is really the only strong legal avenue for a homosexual against such a church.

Why go to that trouble? Why not just spend on missions down to “$0 profit”?

Separate organizations makes that easier too. The church can be the #1 donator to the charity. Any church that actually does good works with the money they collect won’t have any problem with suddenly finding themselves taxable.

I guess my point is creating another 501(c) could cause a continued risk if the IRS is being used to target us.

We once more need the Black Robe Regiment to return to the pulpit.

No need to worry.
Everyone will be free to worship tax free at the LGBT Church of Homo Sex. There will statues of phalli, vaginas and of people engaged in various homo sex acts for you to venerate. And you'll be welcome to actually participate in those "holy" acts you see, but only with someone of the same gender as yourself. Love and peace to all.

Churches existed before tax exemptions.
Maybe I’m not rich enough for it to make a difference but I’ve never considered tax exemptions when donating. There will still be some ways for cashless donations. Property taxes will be the killer as many many churches sit on very expensive land.

I don’t think Denny Burk Professor of Biblical Studies and Ethics at Boyce College. understands God very well.
“When tax exemptions are removed, donors will give far less than they are giving now. Churches will become liable to property taxes.” if churches decide to enter the evil government nexis then it is on them.
I believe that when churches finally decide to separate from the government evil empire, God will again begin to pour out his blessings, grace and power to the church. revival will follow.
