Here’s some more insight from research study commissioned by the Puerto Rico government (Almost anyone here on the island could have said the same thing for free):

“The Rat Party gets two more senators, the country gets 3.7 million more Hispanics, and the IRS gets to tax all the productive Puerto Ricans.”
Puerto Ricans on the island are pretty conservative and the 3.7 million islanders are already counted in the 320 million pop of the US.
