Dancing With Another Dictatorship
The most plausible answer is that the Obama administration is once again working to save a police state that is about to collapse under its own weight. The trouble is that every time team Obama sits down at the poker table with thugs—think Russia, Iran and Cuba—it gets cleaned out. The region’s democracy advocates are right to be nervous.

Terror, Speak No Terror (Obama on Cuba)

Today President Obama further opened the financial floodgates from the U.S. to the world’s most notorious deadbeat nation—who is also a “State Sponsor of Terrorism.”
Quotation marks are now required around the term “State-Sponsor of Terrorism” when referring to Cuba because just this morning, as the 45 day notification period to Congress expired, President Obama officially removed Cuba from the State Department’s list of State Sponsors of Terrorism, where President Reagan had placed it in 1982.
“Laughing all the way to the bank,” hardly does justice to what the multi-billionaire Castro family must be doing this week. The $7 billion they stole at Soviet gunpoint from U.S. businessmen in 1960 hasn’t even been mentioned by Obama’s “negotiators” as a “discussion topic” for U.S. “normalization.”

Not by accident, I'm sure. The Left has a plan, and it is going splendidly.
Yet, somehow, there are people, even here, who are surprised by this.
The embargo against Cuba was established under the Kennedy Administration, and it was KEPT in place largely as a memorial to the deceased President JFK and his brother RFK. The objective then, and for many years after, was to keep the influence of the Soviet Bloc to a minimum in the Western Hemisphere. Those times of proposed lifting of the embargo (under Carter), and later concessions made for “human rights” purposes (under Clinton) were successfully contained by cooler heads, but today, no “cooler heads” remain.
The Brothers Castro have NEVER felt any obligation to deal in a businesslike manner with “the Yanquis”, not once ever in their lifetimes. They are not about to change, nor shall their probable successors.
The cubans should worry, if Obama can ruin this country he can ruin their utopia.

At the poker table, everyone has a “tell”. A twitch, and eyebrow raise, a change in posture - something that expert players can use to ‘read’ the type of hand the person is holding.
Barack Obama’s “tell” is that he is Barack Obama.
We are soon destined for a Communist dictatorship here at home if people don’t fight it everywhere to the very gates of Hell.
