Maybe it's time to dismiss as viable anyone who goes to Romney for support or guidance.
That Romney could condemn to Confederate flag while his precious Mormon Church has symbols connected with a history of polygamy is beyond hypocritical. It's arrogant.

Stop defending Romney. He dismissed 47% of the population as unworthy for campaigning to and he backed down on Benghazi as a major issue against Obama. One could hypothesize that he lost on purpose.

Maybe the GOPe should consider the need to earn the conservative votes. Do you remember the cheating and the open primaries that it took to hand the nomination to Romney?

Yeah, and I remember the idiocy of conservatives all piling on to oppose the GOPe flavor of any particular election cycle rather than doing anything to change the idiotic rules which favor them.
The big problem is not the order of the primaries, the marathon structure or anything of the sort so much as it is the allocation of delegates.
A fairer system would award:
- One fifth of the delegates based on electoral vote value.
- One fifth of the delegates based on GOP congressmen, U.S. Senators, governor and control of state legislatures.
- Three-fifths of the delegates based on the ability of the state to actually deliver electoral votes to the GOP presidential ticket in November.
And, yes, Wyoming might actually end up with more delegates than Massachusetts under this formula. If it is unfair, then it is unfair to Wyoming, which has delivered 12 of 12 possible electoral votes to the GOP ticket over the last four election cycles whereas Massachusetts has deliverd exactly 0.
If conservatives had any sense we would demand that delegate allocations be based on three sets of fifths:
- One fifth based on population or a state's electoral votes.
- One fifth based on GOP governors, senators, congress seats and houses of the state legislature they control.
- Three fifths based on electoral votes actually delivered to the GOP nominee over the last six or so presidential cycles.
Do you remember when it was the hard left and the Democrat establishment (ruling class, unions and the like) which had all the battles? After the Democrat establishment beat the hard left in 1968, the hard left went to work and changed the rules. There were minority set asides and all sorts of gimmicks to ensure
their candidate got nominated in 1972. Even though they lost big time, the rules remained in place and the hard left has enthusiastically backed every candidate they've pushed since.
But way too many conservatives would rather whine about Romney this and Romney that as if he, personally, is the entire problem, rather than the system we've allowed to remain in place unchallenged to ensure that someone even further left (Jeb) will get nominated in 2016.

“Mitt is acting as agent for The Cheap Labor Express to make sure they get their amnesty candidate for the GOP.”
And the Mormon Church which is busily “populating Utah “ with “new church members” from Mexico and points South. Mormons and Catholics are big movers behind illegal immigration claiming that “God's Law” supersedes our written law. Screw both of them!
