Bill O’Reilly says racism not ingrained in U.S. during on-air rant: ‘If you think most Americans are racist, I’m ashamed of you!’

In an explosive Fox News rant, Bill O’Reilly argued that only anti-Americans believe the U.S. is suffering from epidemic racism — but he refused to say if he has any black friends.

The conservative pundit sounded off on race and racism in a Tuesday night shouting match with Fox News analyst Kirsten Powers on “The O’Reilly Factor.”

“I don’t think it’s an epidemic of racism. I don’t think it’s ingrained in this society,” the hot-headed host yelled. “The world is being told by anti-American haters that we are a rank, racist society, and that is a lie.”

O’Reilly argued that every country has elements of racism — but it’s not rampant in the U.S.

When Powers, a liberal columnist, pointed out that America has a history of slavery, O’Reilly asked, “So, what?” and yelled, "You can’t have a perfect world!” “Most Americans are not racist. They’re not!” the host screamed at his guest. “If you think most Americans are racist, I’m ashamed of you!”

The on-air outburst comes in the wake of the massacre at Charleston’s historic Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Suspected shooter Dylann Roof posted a racist manifesto online before he allegedly killed nine black worshipers during Bible study last week.

After the shooting — which has been labeled a hate crime — South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley demanded the Confederate flag be removed from state property.

Amazon, Etsy, eBay and other retailers announced they’ll no longer sell merchandise marked with the Sothern flag, seen as a symbol of slavery.

If racism is ingrained, there is no solution.

It is ingrained in most Marxists as a way of promoting the agenda.

He was hard on poor Kristin whasername Bookseller.

Her argument was: “Sure we’re racist.”

His argument was: “Elections, legislation, standard of living, programs, and etc. all say that we’ve been trying. Sure there are a few nuts, but there are always gonna be wackos.”

She replied: “Yep, we’re racists...”

She definitely has terrible insight when she’s spinning. She should aim for truth. All else will fall into place. Too bad her bosses require her to spin; she’s a smart lady.

I don’t watch Fox. BOR is a pompous jerk. I don;t think he’s often wrong, but I just don’t like him. I have wonderful Black friends. Race is never an issue with us. But I think they are exceptional. I used to play with Robert Jr. He couldn’t believe I was a White player. I’m very sad about race relations now,,,,,,,

I love they reported that he wouldn’t answer if he had any black friends as if it were news and a prequalify for the racism label.

Obama said the same thing on the podcast, and I’m glad someone with the stature of BOR is willing to challenge it.

Get away from this raysist, ugly, oppressive ghetto with all them freeebes, demeaning free tuitions, fattening fooood stamps, free phones, pay not to work, .....

— but he refused to say if he has any black friends.

Should be any easy response for him. He could say “look how I am! Think I have ANY friends of any color?”

This was the best part: He told Powers to”knock it off” twice. [From Newmax—couldn’t find transcript from Fox.}

O’Reilly then turned to conservative guest Monica Crowley, who agreed with O’Reilly that institutional racism is no longer codified in law. But, she said, the left wants to degrade America for its sin of slavery.

At that point, Powers, who was appearing by remote from Washington, could be heard making a noise in the background, and O’Reilly called her out.

“You are making a lot of noise which is rude to Monica,” O’Reilly said. “You are snorting out there. I want you to knock it off.”

Powers said she wasn’t snorting, but gasping at Crowley’s comments.

After much back-and-forth over the legacy of slavery and the gains made by civil rights laws, Powers asked O’Reilly, “How many black friends do you have, Bill?”
Special: 3 Signs Your Blood Sugar Is Killing You. Are You at Risk?
O’Reilly never answered directly, and Powers kept peppering him.

When O’Reilly finally ended the segment, he told Powers he was not mad at her and apologized if he mischaracterized her gasp as a snort.

The still-seething Powers tried to force a smile, but wasn’t very successful. She forced out a barely audible, “OK” before the segment ended.

Everyone should stock up on razor wire and iron bars before they settle into South Africa.

If racism was ingrained, there’d be shootings like this one almost daily.

One nut does not a hateful country make.

The top 2 advertising icons over the last 30 years are blacks - Michael Jordan & Tiger Woods.

Corporate America would not pay them hundreds of millions if America was a racist nation.

Even corporate financial shills at AMEX paid Tiger millions showing blacks pitching banking products to white America.
