Just one day after he told KENS 5 that he would continue to sell it, Dixie Flag Company owner Pete Van de Putte confirmed Tuesday that the store will no longer sell the Confederate Battle Flag.
He confirmed just after 6 p.m. that the decision was effective this afternoon.

So what will “Dixie Flag” sell now? ISIS flags and Che stuff? No one seems to care about that.
There’s always Ruffin Flag. I doubt they will give up; for one thing there’s too much money to be made.

Agree, and it’s going to get worse before it gets better. Parks, schools, streets, memorials, and more are under attack. The cost of renaming these places, road and other kinds of signs alone, will be astronomical.

van de Putte is a flaming lib and his flaming lib wife just lost an election for mayor of San Antonio to a well-qualified Black lady! So this is an interesting situation ... does he support his wife and continue to sell the Battle Flag or does he submit to his ideology and stop selling the flag.
It appears ideology may have the upper hand - no real surprise.
This is amazing. The stupidity and herd mentality is stunning. They will try to ram through a gun law as fast as they can, before the “grief” fades. the way this flag crap went, it’ll pass.

When they talk about a flag that is representative of states rights, they say it it representative of racism. I had ancestors die fighting on both sides of the civil war. I am sick and tired of these phoney idiots and politicians alike who ignore history for political or personal gain. I sware, I might never vote for an incumbent politician no matter what he/she stands for or how good they’re doing. One term is enough and the sooner they realize that, the sooner they have hands out of their pockets.
