So you take him "literally" when he says he is pro Second Amendment but not when he says he supports the ban on the liberal concocted myth of the "assault weapon"?
That sounds selective reasoning. The man said what he said. It's in his book. And until he renounces his prior position, his prior position stands.
btw...did you know he has said his favorite president was Bill Clinton? lol!

I have a feel for where he is at. Trump has to throw certain things out there for public consumption. Such as his great line about forcing Mexico to pay for building a wall on the border.
IOW I would not worry about Donald Trump and assault weapons. But I will worry about Hillary, Obama, Jeb Bush and assault waespons

I would worry about any Republican siding with liberals on the issue of banning guns. Even more so when the moron said he identifies more as a democRAT.
