Michelle Obama compared her struggle to succeed as a young black woman in America to the experience of British Muslim girls during a visit to in inner-city girls school in London. The First Lady, who is visiting the UK for two days, and met with Prince Harry this morning, struggled to hold back tears as she gave an emotional speech to Mulberry School for Girls in London's Tower Hamlets.
She'll meet with Prime Minister David Cameron later today. She said: "Girls like you inspire me and impress me every single day. "When I look out at all these young women, I see myself. In so many ways your story is my story." She told the audience - including the whole school, many of whom are watching the speech live-streamed to the School sports hall, she grew up in a working class neighbourhood on the south side of Chicago, where people work hard to make ends meet.
She added: "My parents told me I could grow up to do anything - but only if I worked hard in school." Mrs Obama drew links between the experience of young black women in America to the struggles faced by British Muslim girls...

Advocates of Chrislam point to facts such as Jesus being mentioned 25 times in the Qur’an, or Christianity and Islam having similar teachings on morals and ethics, or the need for the two largest monotheistic religions to unite to fight against the rise of atheism and alternative spirituality. Chrislam is viewed by some as the solution for the ongoing conflict between the Western world, which is predominantly Christian, and the Middle East, which is predominantly Muslim.
While it is undeniable that there are many similarities between Christianity and Islam (and Judaism, for that matter), Chrislam ultimately fails because Christianity and Islam are diametrically opposed on the most important of issues – the identity of Jesus Christ. True Christianity declares Jesus to be God incarnate. For Christians, the deity of Christ is a non-negotiable, for without His deity, Jesus’ death on the cross would not have been sufficient to be the atoning sacrifice for the sins of the entire world (1 John 2:2).
Islam adamantly rejects the deity of Christ. The Qur’an declares the idea that Jesus is God to be blasphemy (5:17). Belief in the deity of Christ is considered shirk (“filth”) to Muslims. Further, Islam denies the death of Christ on the cross (4:157-158). The most crucial doctrine of the Christian faith is rejected in Islam. As a result, the two religions are absolutely not compatible, making Chrislam a concept both Christians and Muslims should reject.
Some current proponents of Chrislam are Rick Warren, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, late Robert Schuller, Glen Beck, Tony Campolo, Brian Maclaren, Joel Osteen, and Pope Francis. Chrislamic people themselves see no problem with the basic unity of the two religions, because they say that God loves all people and wants us to love all people.
President Obama's former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright is quoted as saying, “I made it [Chrislam] comfortable for him [Obama] to accept Christianity without having to renounce his Islamic background.”
Because she sees only oppression when she looks at the burkad ones. She sees herself as oppressed. That explains it.
Her America-hating mind classifies people as oppressor and oppressed. White and Black.
Michelle loves being a victim. When she can’t be one, she will identify with anyone she perceives in her tiny mind to be a victim.
Compromise and religion are poor bedfellows.

Can you believe this ego? She goes to Britain and makes it all about her, or at least all about the story she likes to tell about herself as a poor, oppressed black woman who was strong enough to Overcome -- Hallelujah!

What? She had a solid middle class upbringing and went to the finest schools, largely because of her race. She married a man who became Senator and thus got a 300K no-show job. She's had a softer life than 99% of the people in the world. So what "struggle" could she possibly be referring to?
