Lots of people on our side have had to resign their jobs for less, and not one was allowed to say “I misspoke” and write it off.

I understood exactly what she meant by the comment. Sometimes these empty headed mouths say whatever words pop into their heads without any concern for more than filling up time slots. She meant, “He is a powerful force for evil.” It just came out wrong.
