I think it is a conservative estimate. I expect the dollar to be extinct in 25 years. Worth zero. Used as wall paper.
You don’t monetize debt without consequences. The only thing that has been holding off the explosion is that ALL the governments in the world are in hock and they are all racing each other to the bottom.
America is not special. And even that part of it that was remarkable is pretty much gone. Suffering is coming.

Just judging by the title the author seems to think that the dollar is going to lose 95% of its value. Given past history, that is not as far fetched as it once would have seemed. When hyper inflation starts, it moves fast.

And this is my thinking as well. Since Barack the stupid came into power, my favorite Cheeseburger went from $2.52 to ~$5.00 . When you let an idiot get into the spending business, he will lead you into a ditch.

KWN? Snort! Eric King is a gold permabull. There is no useful information at KWN. I like Fleckenstein, a smart guy, but I don’t know why he embarrasses himself by going on KWN.

I don’t know if gold will ever make it to $25,000 but I know before this world ends, people will throw their useless coins in the streets.

Solid gold coins will never be useless. They may never be useless, but the Bible tells us they'll be worthless.

Gold will be a good way to store wealth in a small area. The barter system can only go so far.

I think it’s interesting that he mentions the response to his first article - universal derision!
And THAT is the sentiment that leads to a bull run!

One of the worst years in American history, the Fed the IRS, and the seventeenth amendment all in the same year.
If only that error could be corrected. You would think that more people would catch on after 100 years of it.
