Governor, you don’t have to do this pandering!

He probably does. People campaigning at the Presidential level understand quite well that Florida is a must win for the Republicans. California and New York are guaranteed to go Democrat, so if Florida doesn't go Republican, the election is over.

Rubio is already a state wide win. If he's nominated, Florida is probably a lock. Attention can then be turned to other "need to wins" like Ohio and Pennsylvania.

I prefer Ted Cruz, but I'll accept Walker, at least over all the other remaining choices.

I like them both... Rubio has Reagan sunny personality. He has charisma and is likeable. I know people here adore Ted Cruz, but he doesn’t sell as well.

Rubio is no more qualified for POTUS than Obama, for the same reason. He is needed in the Senate anyway.

If Rubio’s on the ticket I’m really going to have to hold my nose.

Rubio refused to say if he read the TPA before he voted for it.

And Walker thinks that kind of behavior is acceptable to Conservative voters?

They are both pro-amnesty RINOs, which makes it the perfect pairing.

Rubio puts the coffin nail in Walker. I know, Cruz has his TPA problem, but that can be fixed if he is in office. Open borders can’t.
And Rand Paul has taken too many loony positions. Carson not presidential. Jeb, fugedaboutit.

Who does that leave? (Besides any candidate who couldn’t vote for it?)

Rubio is no more qualified for POTUS than Obama, for the same reason. He is needed in the Senate anyway.

Rubio had a significant leadership position in his state legislature. Obama avoided leadership until the Presidency.

Cruz voted for TPP not TPA. There is a difference, please view this YouTube interview from a week ago, he explains his vote, it’s excellent. http://youtu.be/vqT-uYV4P5g

“Someone say something good about the Cruz TPA deal. Seems like a deal breaker” Which would you rather have, Cruz and TPA, or Walker/Rubio and open borders? Or presidete Jeb Arbusto?

Oh please, if Ted Cruz is the nominee you wouldn’t bail on him if his running mate was Rubio, or maybe even Rand Paul or John Kasich. I thought the VP choice didn’t matter. Did you older Freepers bail in 1980 on Ronald Reagan when he chose George Bush as his running mate? Worry about the #1 guy first before panicking about his running mate.

OK, here’s an angle - the GOP should be vetting and parsing potential Cabinet members at some time subsequent to the actual nomination of a single ticket for President and Vice President in 2016, and just about have the “Shadow Cabinet” firmed up shortly before Election Day 2016. That way, the country would know there is a team in place, ready to hit the ground running on January 20, 2017.

There are several good combinations of President and Vice President that may be matched up, and various scenarios which would be an exercise in the effectiveness of each. Think of this as a sort of video game, and until something is set as certain, this gaming allows for some free-ranging thinking.

I don’t want Rubio one step away from the presidency. And I don’t fully trust Walker.

So that leaves me Cruz, who was my first choice all along, LOL.

I don’t think the majority of American’s, let alone Republicans, even know what the TPA/TPP is, and/or what damage it may/may not do :(

Heck, friends of ours...who we know are Republican - and are conservative, aren’t even aware of half the cr@p 0bie is pulling, right under everyone’s nose. It’s tough trying to keep friends/family updated on all that’s happening. Too much, too fast.

Walker is not a RINO. He is wrong on immigration. That doesn’t make him a RINO across the board.

Rubio is pro-amnesty AND a RINO.

That can also be seen as being highly presumptuous and could cost them on election day.
