More than two-thirds of the Humvees the US supplied to Iraq to fight terrorists have ended up in the hands of Islamic State militants.
And the Islamic State (aka ISIS, ISIL, and Daesh, has not wasted any time in converting those vehicles into one of its deadliest and most nightmarish tools: suicide car bombs.
According to Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, ISIS controls about 2,300 armored US Humvees. Most of those vehicles were seized after ISIS overran Mosul in June 2014.
In addition to being used in further attacks against Iraqi forces, these vehicles were sent over the border to Syria to help ISIS solidify its foothold there.

A .50 or 12.7mm will stop an armored Humvee. The ISF has both.
The Kurds have dealt with these and uparmored dump trucks, cement trucks, etc. since before Kobani.

Well that's not true. He's full of plans, but none of them ever work. Had he planned to give these to ISIS, it would probably have had the effect of wiping them out.
He is an exceptional bungler and fool.

But still, it would be nice if the Iraqi army could take better care of the shiny new toys I buy them instead of letting ISIS use them as no welding required, high ground clearance suicide bomb trucks.
not to mention 74,000 machine guns, 40 M1 Abrams MBTs, 52 M198 155mm howitzers, and an undisclosed number of stinger manpads.
I wonder how strong these guys ties have gotten with the Mexican cartels. I’m sure they’d love to have some of these weapons...
So, I’m taxed to give money and armaments to people who want to kill me, or come to my country illegally to get on the dole?

And the 2300 Humbee drivers fled on foot??? Seized??? I doubt it...
One might wonder who is supplying the massive amount of explosives needed for these attacks...One might also wonder about logistics for fuel to operate these vehicles and one might wonder how a bunch of camel jockeys are performing all the necessary maintenance on these vehicles...
