Ideology: Bernie Sanders is coming on as a presidential contender, while polls show surprisingly large parts of the public look favorably on the socialism he espouses. The public apparently has forgotten socialism's record.
For years, Sanders, an avowed, unapologetic socialist, was viewed as an anomaly of U.S. political life, an eccentric whose atypical ideology reflected the supposed quirkiness of his home state of Vermont.
Now that's changed, and with Democrats worried about the scandals surrounding their top candidate, Hillary Clinton, Sanders is attracting ever-bigger audiences on the campaign trail. Polls show him at 15% of the Democratic tally.

We (thinking people) are outnumbered. It’s over.
if this inane, rape fantasy maniac ever became president, it would no longer be the US. I don’t know what it would be.
The fact that this man could be considered a serious candidate just demonstrates how far we’ve strayed from our values.
Rome, err, America, is finished.
This marxist douchebag loser from NYC is a self admitted communist running for the Democrat nomination.
Hang him around SHRILLARY!’s fat neck.
civil war creeps forth
Well, he should be hanged somewhere.

I think that it better illustrates how far the Democrat Party has moved to the left under the leadership of Pelosi, Reid, and Obama. I also think that, as a result, the Democrats are finished because a lot of traditional Democrats aren’t ready for socialism. Those remaining might be, but they reduced the party membership in moving so far left.
I guess we’ll see in 2016....
Non-Marxist democrats are extinct (IMHO).
Even the unicorns (”blue dogs”) lined up for obamacare.
He’ll I’m beginning to wonder if non-Marxist Republicans aren’t extinct.
There are a lot of hard working people who are not paying close attention and who have never heard hard work and conservative values explained. They went through college immersed in the leftist point of view, never hearing a single conservative thought as our side of the argument has been expunged from every , and at every level.
A candidate like Cruz can break through to these people, there is still hope.
Sanders, an “unapologetic socialist” is, to be accurate, an “unapologetic Marxist”. Accuracy is my forte’. So is the truth.
And he’s insane to boot.
Sorry, there is NO turning back whence 50.1% of the populace can vote themselves the property of the other 49.9% using the force of govt.
Game. Set. Match.
Tell me again how the 16th Amendment trumps the 4th, 5th and 13th (yet contains no verbiage to that power)? Or the P.A. (or whatever the next iteration will be called) does not violate the 4th? ‘Gun control’ the 2nd (with the precise wording of ‘shall NOT be infringed’). How ‘bout, no tender but gold or silver, contracts vs. O’Care/’min. wage’, ad nauseum...
No my FRiend, that ship has sailed over 100 yrs ago, we’re finally coming to the end.
This is why CPUSA quit running presidential candidates decades ago. They decided that with the Democrats, they’d get there eventually.

And the Republicans giving the Democrats a push from the rear.
Exactly and they were right, a purge is desperately needed.
The RNC will save the Democrats from themselves by nominating Jebster, the next designated loser.
The CPUSA only declined to run a candidate in 2008, they already had one on the ballot. Before that they did run a candidate.
Nope, 1984 was the last year that CPUSA put up its own ticket (Gus Hall / Angela Davis). From ‘88 on, it has endorsed every Democrat.
You are right, see this link from the Young Democratic Socialists of America web site. They used to hide all this stuff, that the socialists were taking over the Democratic party, but now they are out in the open with it.
