Females have done the same thing to our military that they did to our country in 2008. Destroy it. What will history show as the primary reason America fell? Dare we not talk about it, but the facts are the facts.
How do they do that, exactly?
This is one of those claims where, if you have to say it, it's not true.
A drunk stumbles into a lesbian bar. He sees this big woman in a cut-off flannel shirt who keeps raising her arm for the floorwalker to bring more pitchers of beer.
This woman has an underarm bursting with thick, luxuriant hair.
He yells to the lady bartender, “I wanna buy that ballerina a beer!”
And the bartender, who has been putting up with nonsense from him since he sat down, asks him, “What ballerina? What are you talking about wiseguy?”
And he replies, “That women right (hic) there.” And he points at the plaid flannel woman.
“Only a ballerina could lift her leg that high.”
The bartender says, “Simmer down or I’m going to toss you out.”
He starts to tell a blonde jokes.
She stops him and says, “See that blonde in the flannel shirt? And the one in the cop’s uniform? See the big blonde wearing the Ranger uniform? She’s so tough she was appointed by the president himself! And see that 250 pound construction worker ....
“All blondes. Are you sure you want to keep talking?”
He replies, “No, I don’t want to tell them more than once.
“So have them gather round and I’ll talk real s-l-o-w.”
Think about it, these were no doubt the best of the best females and no doubt given special consideration.
I believe it usually depends on why you didn't make it the first time. I've heard of SEALs and other special forces candidates who might've been injured during training--but were allowed to return.
This might be allowed on a case-by-case basis. Applicants who can't complete a certain evolution by their branches' standards, or who choose to quit and leave the first time are not usually invited back for a second try.
How many?
All but eight.
You are correct about do-overs in combat but most of the male washouts get a second chance dependent on which parts of the program they failed and why they failed.
A second time around will produce the same results.
If a woman can meet the criteria, pass the course, and maintain that level of training, fitness, and proficiency standard then fine but I would expect that few will actually be able to do that.
Now, weakening the standards is another matter that should never be allowed to happen.
Don't bank on us being rescued by reality. We are in the twilight zone now.
They believed that and Charlies Angels were guarding the White Hut.
Then some spoil sport came in and just went past them. He went until an off duty guy stopped him.
So much for Charlie's Angels.
The leaders of the Army can’t adequately explain the purpose of Ranger School.
They are arguing with Liberals who are trained in education and know the education buzzwords.
So, we have a bunch of old guys who argue by saying, “Because I say so and because I outrank you!”. And they are arguing with people who have PhDs in education and aren’t in the military.
How many Veterans are there in Congress?
The Army has already lost this fight.

Applicants can drop out of their own volition (Drop on Request — DOR), be setback in training due to a physical injury, be dropped due to inability to complete a training phase, or be dropped for academic reasons. Of our mythical class of 120 applicants, 35 or less will complete all three phases (25 weeks) of BUD/S and get their trident [SEAL[ badge.
Ranger training typically runs 61 days, so if 2nd LT Suzie Cupcake didn't make it through that selection, can anyone guess about SEAL training?
It’s a corollary of the “diversity is strength” lie.
Train hard, fight easy.
Train pussy, get your butt whipped.
The Rangers is no place for women.
Period.
“Now, weakening [lowering] the standards is another matter that should never be allowed to happen.” While I agree, unfortunately, it has happened in many cases, the first of which - to the best of my knowledge - was dual standards for PT tests. One wonders what might happen when they get to peer evals; no recycles for Ranger candidates who are peered out...
I thought the only reason special forces candidates were allowed to “recycle” was in the case of injuries, after being given time to recover.
As a woman, I’m glad they failed, and I hope that you are wrong in asserting that they will degrade the standards.
No. She was okay with the camo paint; she just didn’t have a bag or shoes to match.
There’s only one solution: Obama will decree that they are now Navy SEALs.
Hard to say with what we know now. As far as I have heard, the standards have not been lowered.
Lowering standards frequently leads to disasters. The female Navy pilot quite a few years back splashed and sank on a carrier landing. Word went around that she had been recycled until they could pencil whip a pass in flight training and that she was an incompetent pilot. All because she was part of the first class of women pilots.
In the AF I flew on and ABNCP with one of the first AF female pilots. She was an abomination who scared one too many general officers and lied about an incident to another. She still flew for qual but was made the safety officer (ironic). She was also nuttier than Mr. Peanut.
