NASHVILLE Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush told nearly 1,500 Tennessee Republicans Saturday night that he and the GOP can win the White House next year with a hopeful, optimistic message and by reaching out to voters beyond conservatives and Republicans.
Addressing the Tennessee Republican Partys annual Statesmens Dinner, the former Florida governor and likely GOP front-runner, said the next Republican president will win if they have a hopeful, optimistic message, not one that is completely negative; if they reach out to everybody in our country, not just those that have already decided that they are conservatives and Republicans.

Ya notice Jebbie said “everybody in our country” not “every AMERICAN”
I wonder why he just don't run as a liberal socialist along with Bernie Sanders and stop acting like he is a conservative Republican.
Not a single American I know believes anything about this crap Jeb Bush other than he is a liberal socialist.
No water for Ms. Schiavo by Jebster,
means no votes EVER for the accomplice to her murder.
You can also tell he interprets conservatism as a negative message too!
I’m a TN pubbbie who received an invitation to that event. Didn’t go because Jebbie was the keynote speaker.
Wonder what the reception was REALLY like
They got it half right, he was the gubbernor of Florida.
i.e., Screw the base. They have nowhere else to go on election day.
Ask Dole, McCain and Romney how that worked for them.
“and likely GOP front-runner”
Yep, all that is left is the pretense of an election?
by reaching out to voters beyond conservatives
Jebster is going to need the moderates because conservatives will never, I mean NEVER, vote for him.
If by "beyond conservatives and Republicans" he means the guys around here in the hills with tarpaper shacks and Gadsden flags, whose attitude about country club Republicans is "shoot on sight", OK.
Somehow I don't think that's what he has in mind.
He’s the RNC’s designated loser this time around.
Behold Rovian politics!!! The base has to vote for us and has nowhere to go. Thus, we need to concentrate on the moderates and convincing democrats to vote for us. Because we all know that people LOVE to vote for middle of the road, non-principled, uncharismatic GOPe types.
It is a tried and true formula that works magic, for the Democrats.
Sometimes it feels like Obama is the least of our worries. We have a party of cronies whose only problem is that they are not in charge of the massive centralized government.
Columba’s sock puppet.
Let me summarize:
"Hey Republicans! We can win, if we stop being Republicans!"
Jebbie Bush, the Dole/McCain/Romney of 2016...
I can’t breathe...
