Gender neutral restrooms gaining traction among schools
UT San Diego ^ | May 31, 2015 | Pat Maio

Two years after California passed a law that permits transgender youth to use whatever bathroom they wish, school districts continue to grapple with compliance, though major strides have been made.

“You can’t just build a restroom or retrofit one tomorrow,” said Kurt Dearie, a history teacher at Carlsbad High School who has been a co-advisor for the school’s Gender Sexuality Alliance since 2002. “The lack of money and all kinds of things make this more challenging today.”

Home school - PERIOD.

They want your children, they will take your children.

If "sex-neutral" bathrooms are OK for our children, they should be OK for the politicians who deemed them so.

Therefore, restrooms -- public and private -- in all government buildings should be open to the same perversion. Betcha the politicians will fix this right away.

Why can’t our kids read or write their names in cursive or do basic math?

Oh, that’s right. What Michelle is ALLOWING them to eat for lunch and who they share the bathroom with afterward, (so no gender-freaks are offended!) is SO much more IMPORTANT than having basic life skills!

Silly me. ;)

The purpose of this is to indoctrinate. Contradict learned values, destroy them, instill new “values” that contradict nature.

Oh, you can’t? But don’t you teach if you really, really, really, really, really believe, you can do anything?

If you need money, then sell your capitol building.

Yes, in this day and age public schooling is unnecessary. We have systems in place such as Khan Academy where a kid can learn practically anything online, and the best part: They won’t be indoctrinated into leftist ideologies, won’t be forced to praise or sing about Obama, won’t have homosexuality and other perversions shoved in their face, and they will learn something. Who knows, we might even one day have kids who can once again tell the difference between “lose” and “loose”!!! No more sentences such as “That guy is a looser” or “My shoelaces are lose!”

Today's Big Worry #1: Micro-aggression -- because tiny little things can hurt in unexpected ways.

Today's Big Worry #2: Gender-segregated bathrooms -- why not put boys and girls together? What could go wrong??

Industrial sized bizarro, totally wacked. Proving my contention that the comedy "Idiocracy" is a documentary.

Not only schools. We went to dinner at the Slanted Door in San Francisco last night. An upscale trendy restaurant at the Ferry Building. When you spend nearly $500 for dinner for six, the very least you would expect is some privacy to allow men and women to ‘do their business’, touch up their makeup and hair or chit chat privately.

I went to use the restroom before dinner. There are 4 enclosed stalls with locking doors and a common area for washing your hands. I walked in and men were milling about, one came out of one of the stalls. When I entered, the seat was up, pees drop all around, the bowl was full of piss and the manual override flush mechanism didn’t work. I didn’t use it and then waited 4 hours until I got home to use a restroom.

Civlilized, progressive, inclusive, tolerant???? No, Absolutely DISGUSTING. I barely like sharing the restroom with the men in my family. Since it’s San Francisco, there’s no consideration for people with young or even teenaged children to have some privacy and safety. I always think of my 90 yr old mother-in-law having to stand in line with a bunch of men and walking into a stall that was just evacuated by a man..... These people rally have no sense of decency whatsoever.....(don’t even get me started on the extra 8% tacked onto your bill for health care....)

“Gender neutral restrooms gaining traction among schools”

By government fiat.

It's the war of women - presented by the Democratic party.

I wonder if you should have made a complaint - not about same sex bathrooms but about the pigs who wrecked the stall you were using. Enough complaints might get some restaurateurs thinking.

I suggest that student activist Milo Spearman travel to Iraq or Syria and take up his cause with ISIS. In the spirit of multiculturalism and gender neutrality I’m sure they would give him a listen before cutting off his head. These gender “deniers” had better learn soon that there are bigger issues out there in the world.

Amen!

Remove your kids from the government indoctrination centers.

Either home school or enroll them in a quality, conservative, private school.

Yes, this move is not inexpensive. But there are your kids we’re talking about. You’ve only one chance to do right by them.

The new HyVee in West Madison, WI has six unisex bathrooms. All are single person (no urinals, as far asI can tell, I only used two). That was probably the best way for them to deal with the whole mess. Not everybody will be able to install six bathrooms, however.

New signs - Sitters or Pointers.

I don’t understand the need to modify restrooms - our’s at home are already gender neutral. (A toilet and a sink)
